If there was going to be corruption, it would be in the main event.*

That was my point. It was all about Dimitrenko winning and getting a big $$$ fight with Wladdy, Universum would have no problem sacrificing Alesia Graf's female title belts.

Another favourite of mine was when Paul Thomas stopped Carl Thompson against Nelson.
Carl was off balance and a little stunned, but this is in a world title fight and anyone who knows anything about boxing should have known that Carls recovery is unbelievable and his balance terrible.
A stinker of a job at refereeing!!!!!

Everybody makes mistakes, but this fat f*ck is messing with peoples careers over there in Germany. I really hope he screws someone like Zab Judah and takes a good hiding for it. Jay Nady was choked in the ring by Judah before and had stools thrown at him. That needs to happen to these scumbags... Paul Thomas in particular.

reid was certain he beat calzaghe after the fight. He was screaming for a rematch which of course joe never gave him.
seems robin reid got persecuted for landing his right hand flush throughout his career,he actually got warned for decking sven ottke clean with one.

judges should get banned for repeat biased scoring.I can remember teddy atlas personally roasting and embarrasing a judge live on tv who had courtney burton beating emmanuel augustus and rightly so

Have you seen the fight, it was a shutout with 2 kds to Chambers, so Thomas is either bent, incompetant or slept through the whole fight. Hes had other very shady performances
PS he owes the money to Dont Call It a Comback not J

Yeah, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out he's a bent f*cker

Michael Alexander is by far the worst referee we have.
I was at Munroe vs Martinez II, and some of his scoring was diabolical.
Mike Robinson certainly beat Ross Burkinshaw, but he scored it even.
Paul Hyland was edged out by an Eastern European, but was given the win.
Another one I remember was the Mo Khaled fight on the undercard of Murray vs McAllister.... what was going on there, Khaled won every round easily yet 'lost'. Dominic Ingle was too shocked to be angry!
I have just looked at his record on thr Boxrec archive, he is a real home-towner with his decisions, some of which, having seen them, are ridiculous.
Personally, referees should be allowed to referee, with a single judge scoring all non-title fights. It isn't as if there is only one ref at each show, so instead of having them pick their nose at ringside, just give them an extra few quid and have them judging.
To me, giving gifts to these fighters does the credibility of the sport no good at all. It takes as much time to manage a bad boxer as it does a good one, so you may as well find out which one is which as soon as you can. Better that than sticking a padded record 'prospect' - someone like Adnan Amar, with a top quality domestic operator, say Michael Jennings, and the youngster getting his head pretty much taken off.

Its not about finding out if a kid is good early on or not for most managers though is it? It is about selling tickets and making money. If a lad is a ticket seller and makes the promoter and manager plenty of money, no one cares if he cant fight a lick. Hence the home town decisions.

You could carve up every referee if you wanted. Tommy Little gave the nod to Joe "Old Bones" Brown over Dave Charnley (Charnley had done more than enough) because he had a feud going with Charnley's manager.
This was for the world lightweight title.

[quote="deadpan"]...in scoring that fight even. Even the home crowd went mental when it was announced. Chambers outclassed him and dropped him twice. Kerry Katona against Salman Rushdie on Countdown would be a more closely contested event.
lol (really) @ Katona v Rushdie ! I'm gonna use that one, thanks....
