GEEZ......Stop Focusing on 145 lbs
The Fight isn't gonna be at 145 lbs come Fight Night
When COTTO steps into that Ring, He's gonna be at least 155 lbs a Light Middle weight!
If this was an Old Skool Fight with Same Day Weigh in's, 147 lbs would benefit Pacman Massively much more but even at a 145 lb Friday Weigh in, Cotto will easily be able to Re-fuel his Body up to Light Middle and come in Strong so why are people moaning so much about 2 bloody lbs....!

Pac can make 147 if he wants. He did so against DLH.

That is the main point, if he can fight Oscar Chicken Tikka De La Anna Kournikova Hoya at 147 then why not Cotto or Mosley?

Dude thats not the Point.
He came in against Oscar at 142 lbs and the reason he had that Fight at 147lbs was that Oscar was a Light Middleweight plus Oscar brought the Money in that Fight but in this Fight, Pacman is the Man!

Manny will spank the granny out of him, at some point in the fight staying rooted to the stool will become Cotto's best, and only, option. If it is practically impossible for Cotto to drop that extra 2lb, well he should be up at LMW, fighting men of his own size, but this is boxing, so he won't.
Cotto, in his early LWW days, had huge advantages in size and strength come fight night, this is perfectly fair. I like catchweight contests, they are a bit mysterious and romantic.
It comes down to this.
If Pacman considers himself "too small" for the welterweights so he has to make them weaken themselves to come down a few pounds to fight him, then just stay at 140 and dominate. Nobody would hold it against him. Imagine he makes Mosley come down to 144 or 145. That's just preposterous. Mosley is coming up to 38 and hasn't been lower than 147 for years. Cotto himself will be compromised with the rule of not being able to come in at 147. Those last 2 or 3 pounds are the hardest and even at 145, I expect Cotto to be weakened slightly because he is going through a training camp with 145 in mind, not 147. DLH changed his whole came and stayed around 147 throughout and killed himself. Cotto is going to have to stay at a lower weight himself or just cut more off before the weigh in, which will hurt him. And you know what people will say when Pacman hurts him with a straight left? "Cottos chin was compromised by the weight" which I agree with.
It wouldn't matter if he fought Cotto at 147 because I think Pacman would beat him anyway. Its' just the whole concept of weakening fighters instead of fighting them at their weight division. I mean he was 152 on fight night against Oscar so he can fight at 147 when it suits him, when he has the advantage.
