Totally agree with others on this thread - Davies vs Napa was a very good scrap in prospect for a british title with a young powerful guy against the older 'skill' fighter. It was a cracking fight, they should have defo made that top of the bill it pisses on Sky's recent offerings.

Obviously as a fight fan, really disappointed this whole bill is off.
It does however make me chuckle, that Rhodes gets pilloried on here for his genuine withdrawal from the Small fight, but others just seem to get "oh well that's boxing"
I've lost count of the withdrawals since Rhodes.
Like everyone else I know how genuine Jamie and the team are.
In a peculiar way I was hoping there wasn't an injury - rather a World title shot shortly being the reason.
Hope the injury is not serious and just led to a break in prep.
I see Davies is saying his fight is now September - does the same apply to Jamie ?

What a real shame for Moorsey. He has had a terrible time with injuries. Hopefully this is something minor and not a problem with that shoulder injury that he seemed to have cured.

well at least its not a damaged hand or anything like that.maybe the delay will give them more time to arrange a world title shot
Jamie Moore Out .....

Jamie Moore has pulled out of his European title defense with Jimmy Colas on the 24th July with a viral infection that hampered his training routine. Frank Maloney was hoping to carry on with the show , topping with Gary Davies v Ian Napa for the British Bantamweight title but SKY have pulled the whole event .
VIP Promotions are now looking at the possibility of staging a non TV show for the undercard fighters and information on this will be out very shortly

Just making it official, pal.
There were some questions on that thread if it was official or not.
Since I post the VIP Promotions Press Stuff I thought I would let you know the official slant from VIP - especially about VIP Promotions next steps.
Hardly reinventing the wheel, but thanks for your comment

Not sure just yet, pal.
Might be able to say more once we get more details around potentially getting this non TV show ready.

ooh-err, a shame. i was looking forward to watching this on youtube. mooresy has had setbacks before, and is a pro so he'll come back alright, hopefully. for instance when he was draining hard and baysangurov pulled out of their rescheduled fight and eventually vacated the EBU title. it must be a deflating thing to happen, another setback in a career that wants to move up to the next stage. a shame that his momentum has been broken off - momentarily.

The strong rumour is that Moore finally gets his chance against Martinez on 19th September - on the Mayweather bill.
Maybe I wasn't as wide of the mark as I'd thought.
Great news if true.

I hope it's right too.
Maybe because this could open the door to Rhodes fighting for the vacant title apart from anything else
