I honestly cannot believe ITV wanted the fight and even worse I cannot believe someone like Hennessy took the fight.

That Angel had'nt won in her last 15 fights and the other had'nt won at all...
ITV showing it :o :o

Im not a big fan of womens boxing (especially that fight the other night) but i was at york hall when shanee martin fought Juliette Winter. When it came on i was thinking about going to the bar but i stayed for it and found my self cheering along to it. it was one of the best fights ive seen live. I think it got in the top 5 boxing news fights of the year?

On a positive note its the most succinct and concise Duke has ever been

Rawling: "So what do you think of Angel Mackenzie then Duke?"

Duke "Well, from the outset I have to say, I've nothing against women boxing for self-defence or to keep fit, but I'm afraid this isn't for me"

Rawling: "Well lets see what they can do."

Fkking priceless.

i've got nothing against female boxers

I've seen a couple that are pretty good, in fact my Wolverhampton girl Lindsey Scragg would muller Angel Mckenzie within a couple of rounds.

i was angry they put that fight on TV, and i thought it was pathetic that the ex-BB 'star' was the onyl fighter all night to get the microphone afterwards. pathetic.

Yeah, an odd choice of match up.

I suppose it's not easy for a british based fighter to get bouts, so they have to go abroad and as such don't tend to have strong winning records.

Don't forget Lucia Rijker who is the best female boxer that i've ever seen. The problem is that there are so few decent women boxers that it's incredibly rare to get two of them matched up. Until there is a critical mass of decent women boxers female pro boxing will remain a bit of a joke.

yea its like the WNBA in america and womens football over here its just not respected enough, there seesm to be lots of decent females fighters in germany and they get headline TV spots just they arnt shown anywhere else even when british and american fighters do fight them

holly holm and mary sanders was the biggest female fight in recent years i think and i like that as its not the gimmick of there dads where muhammed ali and joe frasier

Duke could'nt be accused of being an itv lackey. Said it as he saw it a couple of times, leaving Rawlings to gibber on in solo mode. :D

Finally Rawling relented when he sez 'even the referee has a permanent smirk on his face. Have you noticed that Duke?'

Priceless.

The big 'un's were'nt much better though.
