Trainers are as good as the fighters they have
Trainers should be better than the fighters in order for the boxer to progresschris s wrote:Trainers are as good as the fighters they have

jimmy tibbs is an excellent trainer but can you see mitchell going to tibbs it would be insulting to cookmickey1975 wrote:jimmy tibbs is a world class trainer on a par with anything in america, others are getting there
it might be insultng to paul, but he does know the score.i would imagine he has every respect for jimhandles wrote:jimmy tibbs is an excellent trainer but can you see mitchell going to tibbs it would be insulting to cookmickey1975 wrote:jimmy tibbs is a world class trainer on a par with anything in america, others are getting there

Mitchel would easily fill the O2. Local to the lad I think and has a big enough fan base around the country from what I read and see. York Hall looks full capacity when you see him fighting there. O2 would be a great choice of venue for the World Title shot. British Fans behind him as well.mickey1975 wrote:because it costs a lot to hire that venue.i dont think they will have faith in kevin to fill it.i certainly wouldnt.
ive been to some of mitchells fights at york hall and its brimming with fans and thats just when he does 8 or 10 rnd's just imagine what it would be like if it were for a title WBO BRITISH no way could that be at york hall gotta be o2mickey1975 wrote:because it costs a lot to hire that venue.i dont think they will have faith in kevin to fill it.i certainly wouldnt.
my point exactly.if he was any sort of ticketseller,he wouldnt have been the showopener in manchester a couple of weeks ago.yiddo14 wrote:York Hall holds barely over 1,000. Doesn't the o2 hold over 20,000?
Can't see Mitchell filling that ever to be honest, let alone right now. He would do well to pull in 5-6,000.
what for an 8 rounder ??? a show opener if he was boxing for a belt then yeah you would be right, i paid the ppv just to watch his fight, what a let down they didnt show itmickey1975 wrote:my point exactly.if he was any sort of ticketseller,he wouldnt have been the showopener in manchester a couple of weeks ago.yiddo14 wrote:York Hall holds barely over 1,000. my point is,if his promotional team thought he could have made them all wages they would have put him in down there.regardless of the belt on the line, fans turn up to watch certain people.he just isnt one of themjigsaw wrote:what for an 8 rounder ??? a show opener if he was boxing for a belt then yeah you would be right, i paid the ppv just to watch his fight, what a let down they didnt show itmickey1975 wrote:my point exactly.if he was any sort of ticketseller,he wouldnt have been the showopener in manchester a couple of weeks ago.yiddo14 wrote:York Hall holds barely over 1,000. not forgetting he aint had exposure in the press like khan or the olympians, so when it starts to happen you will see im right, kev is explosive to watchmickey1975 wrote:he had good support, yes, but a full house?this was the o2 for gods sake.i like kevin, but just think you are barking up the wrong tree when you say he will sell out these venues.time will tell..
just dont think so.friends of mine sold two thousand tickets whoever they boxed,so he really is not the ticket seller you say he is.facthandles wrote:not forgetting he aint had exposure in the press like khan or the olympians, so when it starts to happen you will see im right, kev is explosive to watchmickey1975 wrote:he had good support, yes, but a full house?this was the o2 for gods sake.i like kevin, but just think you are barking up the wrong tree when you say he will sell out these venues.time will tell..
