To whoever said that Rees couldn't make 130lbs (Bradley Price?), then I just think you're sticking up for your mate. Rees has already said he's loves takeaways, even when training for a fight. Change that for greens and veggies and he'll make it.

Isn't he only about 5'5", and even though he's stocky. I think he could easily do 130lbs.

The bodysnatcher hey? Should be a little cracker to watch, Rees will do well to stop Reid.
2 years or so ago, i think the little sawnoff muscleman from Stoke would have given Rees a few problems. Now, his footwork which was never a strongpoint is too slow to allow him to get set to throw those big wide bombs to head and body. If Rees is fit enough to box and move, i think he can dominate and maybe even stop Reid. dean harrison, wolverhampton midlands-english l;evel fighter, box-moved comfortably with Reid other than having problems with Reid's headbutts. i don't rate Rees THAT highly but my guess is he's a level ro so up from Deano.

Rumour has it that the tickets are going to be sold at half price on the night of the show,
same as they did in merthyr. There was a bunch of fans that were rightly pissed of that night,
that's the reason the second show was cancelled.

im suprised joe ever even got involved with promoting,he didnt seem the type.its a surefire way to lose money at this level as well unless youve got a really good set of ticket sellers or t.v deal, and i doubt sky will be bothering after he fooked off to setanta for his last couple of fights, and was never a ppv star anyway.this company will fold within 12 months.hope not,but think it will

hatton has the sky deal, though.a huge difference.a lot will depend on wether ricky boxes again as im sure its a huge sweetner in negotiatins with sky.de la hoya did the same thing with hbo, boxing once a year to help secure other gbp dates.hatton needs to attract more main event fighters, though.it would help if macklin wins the european and even more so if they get john murray, but at the moment joe murray, quigg, etc are going to need a couple of years.with gareth williams in charge,it helps.the calzaghe's though, seem to have gone into it rather naively.i think they will really struggle and i really cant see joe wanting to subsidise this venture with his own hard earned.

I'd like to see him in with the likes of Arthur or murray to be honest. Warren might not allow Arthur near him though....

Joe wont be putting that much of his own cash on the line. He now has business partners who are a new sports promotional company run by freddy shephard (former newcastle chairman). This should provide some cash investment, and some knowledge of helping out with TV deals etc.

I'm surprised aswell - he was never one for the publicity circuit when he was fighting - and the pr for this show is virtually non-existant. Apart from a short piece on BBC Wales Friday night you'd never now there was a show !!!

In Cardiff (11 miles away) there's no publicity at all - I hope there is in Newport - posters etc etc.

If he is going to make it as a promoter - and I hope he does - he really needs to get out and PROMOTE these shows for his boxers sake.
