Whats your source?
Nothing like convicting a man based on hearsay is there?

Re: Rogan v Sexton presser
Watch the video, Rogan does not behave like this for nothing, in fact I've never seen Rogan so upset, he is normally a very mild mannered fella, Sexton is so smug sitting there but he doesn't know what he's let himself in for come October 9th.yiddo14 wrote:Whats your source?

I said from day 1 Sam would give him a good fight!! it's gonna be hard for him going back there that'sfor sure, I haven't seen many places to match Belfast when it comes to atmosphere!! I think Rogie is gonna come at Sam like a mad man this time..It's gonna be a helluva fight!! I can't wait Im so excited just looking at that press conference..

True the atmosphere there at there last fight was amazing so noisy all the way through also with the Lindsay Appelby fight it must give them such a boost hearing all that noise for themBomber 1 wrote:I said from day 1 Sam would give him a good fight!! it's gonna be hard for him going back there that'sfor sure, I haven't seen many places to match Belfast when it comes to atmosphere!! Re: Rogan v Sexton presser
I boxed on that last bill and had a chat to Rogie and Sam before and there was no nastiness from either so I don't know where this has come from to be honest?? I know 1 thing though you don't argue when Rogie shouts like that..

I would fight Rogan for 4 continentals to go on his taxi
Re: Rogan v Sexton presser
It comes from Sexton visiting Loyalist murals to try and create a divide among the people up North, and if counterpuncher(who is normally a very good poster) would only have read ninebar's post carefully he could see the only sectarianism involved with the whole Rogan-Sexton affair has come from Sexton.Bomber 1 wrote:I boxed on that last bill and had a chat to Rogie and Sam before and there was no nastiness from either so I don't know where this has come from to be honest?? TBH Sam deserves a thorough beating if what Rogan has said is true, and I wouldn't see Rogan as being anything other than I honest man so I guess it is.

Hear hear, well said... I dont like going over the top but I want Rogan to SMASH Sexton so bad you wouldn't believe.BigEars wrote:It comes from Sexton visiting Loyalist murals to try and create a divide among the people up North, and if counterpuncher(who is normally a very good poster) would only have read ninebar's post carefully he could see the only sectarianism involved with the whole Rogan-Sexton affair has come from Sexton.Bomber 1 wrote:I boxed on that last bill and had a chat to Rogie and Sam before and there was no nastiness from either so I don't know where this has come from to be honest?? Re: Rogan v Sexton presser
From a strictly boxing perspective, it's totally understandable why Rogan is angry- he could have finished Sexton off, but withheld and then the fight was stopped because of that cut.
I think a lot of the anger is also because of that.
Has Sexton ever made comment about that?

Re: Rogan v Sexton presser
I thought Rogan was poor last time out and only has himself to blame despite the fact I felt he was robbed. However he showed that by maintaining the pressure Sexton does not have the chin or stamina for 12 rounds.
I still expect Sexton to outbox the Irishman for periods but as long as he keeps coming I predict he will regain his title by KO.
Nevertheless all fighters grow old at some point and Rogan is in the twilight of his career, but as long as that don't happen i'm sure the Englishman will be roughed up and lose inside the distance

Re: Rogan v Sexton presser
I think the Rogan hard luck story is probably nearing an end - I make this a close fight, and Rogan might just take it, but his Cinderella moment has passed in my opinion.
Re: Rogan v Sexton presser
Interesting you say that- going into prizefighter, he had just had 7 fights!Coco wrote: Nevertheless all fighters grow old at some point and Rogan is in the twilight of his career, but as long as that don't happen i'm sure the Englishman will be roughed up and lose inside the distance
But yeah, he's not a young man, even for a heavyweight.
That said, win OR lose against Sexton, there are potential fights in the future for him, now he is more of a name.

Re: Rogan v Sexton presser
I think Sam is out of line bringing religon into it!! It has no bearing and no place in boxing!!
People in Belfast are tryin to get over a whole situation that has plagued the country for decades so Sam shouldn't be bringing it back up again really..I fully understand why Rogie lost it so much!! This is gonna be a great fight and very competitive..It seems now Rogie really does have a country behind him, I like the guy and for his limited experience he does amazingly well!! He really does deserve all the credit in the world, The man had little am experience and was fighting top guys after only 8 bouts amazing stat that is..

my apologies then to you and bigears.ninebar wrote:
No it's not traditional, have you read my post at all!, I have always found the people of Belfast to be very welcoming, Of course when i go there i have the sense to stay out of their business and not stir up trouble unlike Sam Sexton.
have to say though it sounds bizarre to hear someone say 'he was lucky to have been spat on' seeing as if he was spat on on the way to the ring for the first fight, it was before he started allegedly winding up any sectarian nonsense. at least unless i have misunderstood again.
i am just saying boxers should be able to get to the ring without getting any kind of shite and as far as i can make out, sexton was spat on before he started any sectarian nonsense so again i don't think i can see how he was lucky to have been spat on.

This fight will be over very quickly, Rogan will smash him within round 1.
Sexton will be beaten on the way in, by a very hostile crowd

What did Sexton actually do ?ninebar wrote:From my understanding Sexton was actively seeking support from the loyalist community, therefore attempting to pit two communities against each other, now for me the boys lucky he only got spat on, this is a boxing match and politics should be left out especially considering Sexton has no idea of the gravity of the situation in Belfast. I had no respect for Sexton after his antics in the ring that night and now this news has come out i am disgusted with him. He really should think before engaging his pea for a brain and trying to insight Hatred in a place that's has suffered for long enough!terrez wrote:
I can't understand the part near the end when Rogan says to Sexton 'using 2 communities against eachother' ??? LOL explain?
Rogan knew nothing of this before the first fight and it's only after the fact that this has come out, No wonder Rogie's so pissed off, What on earth is Sexton thinking, He's made a huge mistake here and i just hope he's man enough to apologize when Rogan sparks him in the rematch. And onto the rematch itself, for anyone under the illusion that Sexton will win more easily this time just remember that Rogan came out timidly in the first fight using feint's, Head movement and trying to box Sexton who is obviously a more skilled boxer than Rogie, He wont make the same mistake again this time it's WAR!!!!!

Nothing to fact, it's all hearsay and that should be the end of it. No one saw him or has acutal evidence to support what Rogan accused him of and who ever is talking like it's fact that Sexton did that; you are just as bad as what Rogan suggests. Unless you actually saw him or have undinable PROOF then just drop it, leave politics outta boxing espically if your speaking from hearsay.
Rogan is spitting taunts to make sure he fills the arena and builds up the grudge he has for Sexton and that is an end of it.
After all this it's a discrace it's being held in Belfast again. It's just fwank wanting to get Rogan the belt back and sell tickets off it, Sexton is going to be stepping into the worst place to defend his belt, it's a discrace. fwank has zero equality when thinking about the actual fairness to his boxers and whats best for them. It's basically going to be another 'Rogan' show and Sexton being lined up to be the lamb to the slaughter again, the difference being, this lamb was a wolf and gave better then what he got in the ring last time.

Where should the fight be held if not in Belfast? And would it make as much money?
Re: Rogan v Sexton presser
London O2 would be fine.
It's more mutual and just as many tickets would be sold, a sell out either place im sure it will be, after the grudge and hype beind this. It's totally set to be the highest watched domestic heavy show for the past couple years, i'm sure many would agree, i guess one thing is it's good for the stale domestic heavy scene.

He coped well enough in front of a very hostile crowd previously. His stamina and chin in the later rounds are my main cocern for himTed wrote:This fight will be over very quickly, Rogan will smash him within round 1.
