I'm not sure what you mean?
Bob Fitzsimmons is both from a Irish Family (Fitzsimmons, the youngest of 12 children, was born in Helston, Cornwall in the UK. His father was James Fitzsimmons, born in County Armagh, Ireland) and did something no other Irish Boxer came even close to acheiving by being Middle, Light Heavy and Heavyweight World Champion.

Took the words out of my Mouth as Rinty Monaghan was from N-Ireland...
I dont know any thing about Rinty Monaghan but he lost to a No bouter when he had 40 plus Fights, and the No bouter went on to be KO'd in his next fight, losing 7 winning 6 and a draw.
Just by going by this i acnt see how he was the Best??
Steve collins for me a ture Warrior

I'd assume we're talking on an All-Ireland basis.
Rinty was born before Partition anyway, before there was 'Northern Ireland ' so it doesn't really matter that he was from Belfast.
Both McLarnin and Monaghan were born pre partition.
McLarnin is the best as far as I am concerned.
Best Irish boxing in my lifetime in McGuigan.

Azumah 'Shamrock' Nelson.
McGuigan wouldn't fight him, saying "I'll never let another Irishman take my title."
