Seen that Alex Arthur is saying he's been promised a world title eliminator in the autumn, can't see why a match up for that against Gavin couldn't be made, both ex world champions.

Hello Gavin, welcome to the forum. I love your Calzaghe style fast hands method of boxing. I have to agree, the lighter weights should suit you better. Kotelnik was just too big and his reach gave him a huge advantage. Fighting people your own size I cant see anyone on these shores or maybe even europe beating you. World level is another matter but I think you stand a very good chance. Wish you loads of luck and hope you get a World title shot maybe next year.

Welcome to the forum Gavin, hope your luck changes for the better soon.

Serious question for ya, have you ever used the line "It's time to smell what the Rock is cooking?" when you've been making some food at home?

Why do poster's automatically believe that this is Gavin Rees ??

What proof is there ? He could be anybody.........

That's right it's Roy Jones here !!

I think you've kind of answered your own question there. I mean this with the greatest respect in the world, but surely the first poster could have pretended to have been someone more well known the Gavin Rees.

If making a false identity on forums was my idea of fun, then I can think of many more boxers than Gavin Rees - I mean more fashionable, more of a name (again, not disrepect to Gavin).

Although yes, we did recently have someone claiming to be Scott Lawton.

Do you honestly think someone like Gavin Rees would bother with a site like this ? If he was going to come on, he would do so from the very start of his career, like Jamie Moore and Stephen Smith etc etc, but even they have to be questioned. It's so easy to come on here and claim you are some pro boxer, without a shred of evidence to prove that you are that person. Let's face it, people have been conned for thousands over things such as fake football shirts that have a claim that they were worn by Best or Pele or boxing gloves belonging to Ali......i could go on and on

It's non-sense.........He is perhaps a bloke called Gary from Doncaster, who runs a newsagents
