you don't have to live in a terrace house to be an everyman.

He's trying to sell a fight.

Is Floyd Jr. a real gangster because he acts like one?

My take on the Mayweather story was that he was going down if half of it was true. Shots fired, guns in car , guns in house, same guns?? that was the inference....all of which is just alleged of course and solely my opinion, not that there's any reason to stick a disclaimer in a Floyyd Mayweather comment.....I really don't think he or his bent lawyers will be reading my post.

so what was he supposed to do? fight mayweather for free? behave.
complelty missing the point - as most people do when I make this point

its not that he makes lots of money - its the spin he puts on things - and the bullshit - to disguise that he is 100% money motivated - but he dosent want to be seen that way...........

Well there is a theory that he acted as a big Man City fan just to play on their fan base because that football club had been straved of success for so long he was their new hero and the one to follow to bring them glory

But really he was a Man Utd fan all along

Like I said he is a fraud of a person............

Hatton gets a raw deal here a little. Just because style wise he aint no Sugar Ray Leonard - it doesn't mean he isn't any good. So he takes too many shots, so he's got a bit of a flat nose and no defence. He had a hell of a chin, and great strength. Its horses for courses - Hatton retired a legendary champion on his stool. He made a warrior like Castillo turn his back, doubled over in agony. He forced Buddy McGirt to compasionately pull out his fighter, after Ricky took him to school... this was only back in November where many people had considered Malignaggi the number 2 140lber in the world.

Yet he gets condemmed for him saying he was the best at 140lbers and apparently saying he is god's gift to boxing. Hatton said he never felt he'd get beat at 140... and with good reason. Only Magee, when he was a pup, and Tszyu looked close to beating him at the weight before Pacquiao.

He even got condemmed on here for seeking a Mayweather rematch!!!!!!! a rematch with a guy who ultimately outclassed him and out strengthed him. It takes guts to want that fight again, and he was doing it the right way by EARNING the right to fight him...... but he got condemmed, and you know something - the name Junior Witter cropped up then.

Hatton might not be the purists ideal fighter -but he was very good at how he fought... very effective. People say he didn't have the talent of Joe... I just say he had different talents.

So... I only have respect and admiration for him, and I think he is a great personality and great for the sport... and a damn fine box/fighter.

However, if revelations come out that he did some wrong doings when it comes to his personal life (with his Mrs) - well... my attitude will change. I hope it was just shouting they were doing.

I was at one of his dinner events and when he had his bit to say, it was all about Witter and Man Utd (not in a positive way).

So if he really does follow the filth, then yeah he's a gobsh*te, but i find it hard to believe.

why would it be anything other than that.

i read the article posted up the other day and there was nothing remotely to suggest he'd given her a crack. It said cops were called, they asked her had she been assaulted , she said no, the filth scarpered for twinkees.

I agree with Banjo. What do you want him to do, wear a tatty old hat and drive a three wheeler ? haha

Hatton has been good and bad for the game. He has given fans some great nights out due to his face first style and you knew you were going to get that from him EVERY time.

On the down side, he has almost shown off about how bad a liver he is which dosent do boxing any favours and I do agree that the whole "little old me, likely lad, just one of the boys" wore a bit thin some time ago.

The Junior Witter fiasco/debacle put me right off Hatton, it deprived British Boxing and British Boxing fans of one of (if not) the biggest all-British fights ever. I could have forgiven the mismatches and cashcowing of his first 38 fights, but as a staunch British Boxing fan the Witter ducking was inexcusable in my eyes
