Ricky has TV so it will at least pay for itself for the time being. If he needs to dip into his personal fortune to keep going, he has about 60 million quid, I doubt Haye has one million

Bit of a poor show from Hayemaker in my opinion - The apparent lack of a contingency plan is quite odd.

At least these two fighters have gotten out and can move on, not so much for Derry who had already found his level, but for Price it is massive.

For all those who clapped with glee at Hayemaker soundbytes; better undercards, looking after fighters, huge signing fees for fighters and their bid to change the face of boxing I think they should all doff their caps to Warren, Hennessy, Hearn and Maloney for yet further proof that promoting isn't easy, longevity even harder and perhaps remember that all that glitters aint gold.

They all have flaws. But a lack of experience isn't one of them.

And for Price the loss, essentially of a year, is atrocious.

Why shouldn't we have clapped with glee at the Hayemaker vision? It was undoubtedly naive, but I've no doubt that Haye and Booth genuinely meant every word and wanted to bring the shadowy, murky world of boxing promotions into the realms of 21st century business with an according level of transparency and fairness.
The fact they have discovered it's far more difficult than they anticipated and so are likely to fail is a great shame but I applaud them for trying.
And as for the idea that them failing to succeed in an honorable mission means we should doff caps to some of those established promoters who have on occasions treated fans with contempt. Well, it's not often that words fail me, but....

Well said Deserter, good on Hayemaker for giving it a go with a new outlook. Who knows what may have happened were it not for Setanta folding?

And Setanta's demise/the economic slump had nothing to do with the problems we now see for Hayemaker?

He should go to Hatton imo.

Yet again you conveniently leave out some of the FACTS which you have a habit of doing - Price was due to fight on more than one of the Hayemaker bills this year - but an injury to I believe his hand or something like that was the cause for his absence.

He was supposed to be on the Lindsay Belfast bill as well as the Liverpool show. Add to that 2 later shows this year and he could have had 5 fights this year.

$20M versus PBF and all the other $Millions he made.

That is whay he can pay over the odds for fights - the interest alone qould pay for a decent British Title fight.

Hatton has his own mone to an extent and SKY will pay up also.

If it were not for his personal wealth he would not be promoting, you have to lay down some cash!

All the best to Price and Matthews, both good fighters who have the ability to win championships. But on a related note I really hope Hayemaker Promotions does not go under and can secure a t.v deal somewhere and build themselves back up. If they could just get going I think they could do really well, I really admire the way they make competitive matches throughout the bill - great for us fans!

Any news on these two boxers yet?
