He should'ne look past Asikainen he's a tough fighter I hope Macklin wins I think he will but it'll be a tough hard fight
I will ask my RAF friends if they can fly you up in the eurofighter from hurn, you should be at the venue by 5.30liamlion wrote:5pm palREAL_DEAL wrote:what time do you finish?liamlion wrote:Damn Friday nite boxing... my mates from Brum have a spare ticket for me but there is no way i can make it up to Manchester from Bournemouth straight from work... im sour :x
Good luck Macklin... i'll have to SkyPlus it instead
The Ring won't put Macklin ahead of Sylvester (No.2) and Williams (No.3) for beating Asikainen (No.6).Wales wrote:Well, whoever writes the ring rating should be taken to task then because a win for matt, as much as I like the lad, does not put him #2 in the world.

Dont worry about that mate - Macklin always gets a good crowd.

I agree they are all underpriced, as is Cotto v Pac.sligobhoy67 wrote:I agree, and I think that he might have been bigger at one stage. Funny thing is that I thik the "non-Irish" opposition in the three fights I am most interested in at the moment (Dunne-Poonsawat, Macklin-Askiainen and Rogan-Sexton) are all underpriced and good values for the win. DOnt get me wrong I hope none of them win but I think I will be having a small wager on them all - possibly all to win by KO.Hagler2002 wrote:The odds are all wrong for this, Asikainen is never a 100/30 shot. I'm not saying he is going to win but the value certainly lies in backing him in a close fight.
I actually thought Ricky looks in a tad better shape than when he met Ali. Not a lot, but a tad. He looks tiny frame wise next to Macklin (although I would say is weighing a stone more). But he should never even think about chasing a big money fight at 154.leforge wrote:Ricky looks huge!
Denton's contract with Warren ended and he is still without a promotioner backing him, though a good performance tonight should see him being picked up by Hattonteddy007 wrote:I didn't realise that Denton Vassell is fighting tonight, what happened with him and Warren?
