Re: Tyson Fury re-match ordered

If Danny loses prize fighter, he loses the British title. I wonder if the BBBoC will promote this fight for it being the British title?
I think that Fury will have improved by Christmas, and I don't think that McDermott will be as good in the rematch.leforge wrote:Mcdermott points this time. Fury won't have improved by Xmas!
I thought the board said that they would consider stripping Williams if he lost a fight in the Prizefighter tournament, not that they would definitely strip him unless he won.stujones wrote:If Danny loses prize fighter, he loses the British title. Ah yeah - yes, good call.dbflex wrote:Rogan-Sexton 2 is a British eliminator so if Danny is stripped, expect that to be for the vacant title
Of course he can improve in that time. He will have learnt a lot from the first McDermott fight and he is likely to train harder for the rematch.leforge wrote:How will Fury improve in a few months? Face facts he not that good!
- Can't wait for you soft lads bet your big pants off for this one.leforge wrote:How will Fury improve in a few months? Face facts he not that good!

Are you on drugs?!!BroughtonRulesRefuge wrote:- So, this is what passes as the Queen's English on the British board now, eh? Well, pipe down wee'un and get that video cam loaded and ready to roll. We wanna see that glass jaw of yours in a sling after the thunderclap from McD hitting the canvas hits you full on.............Priceless!!!!!leforge wrote:Who is this idiot Broughton Rules all his posts are full of poop!
I seem to recall Fury himself making similarly baseless claims prior to the first fight and yet his punches looked about as powerful as a Robin Reliant for the majority of the fight when it came down to backing that up.BroughtonRulesRefuge wrote:leforge wrote: the thunderclap from McD hitting the canvas .............Priceless!!!!!

- It seems your unseemly recall needs a recall.Deserter wrote:I seem to recall Fury himself making similarly baseless claims prior to the first fight and yet his punches looked about as powerful as a Robin Reliant for the majority of the fight when it came down to backing that up.BroughtonRulesRefuge wrote:leforge wrote: the thunderclap from McD hitting the canvas .............Priceless!!!!!
Whatever Fury is, he's not the KO artist that some would tout him to be and while it's plausible that he'll beat McD in a rematch, I think your forecast is way off the mark.
Is there no way of requesting / obtaining the papers form the meeting. not a very transparent governing body are they!?stujones wrote:
I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall at this meeting. That press release indicates to me that they know it was a WRONG decision.
You know my view that he won it the first time round, so I am struggling to see it any different for Big Mac this time around - Fury will have the advantages of workrate and will not underestimate his opponent again. I think a wide points win beckons.Rixxy wrote:i think Tyson will win this time around, it was more the wide margin of the points that got everyone so upset.
The ten rounds last time will have gave Fury so much experience so thats my pick
Exactly, And i'd like to hear the explanation of those that decided his fate, on how they can justify handing out no punishment after he turned in that 8-2 card. That card cannot in anyway be justified. Its f*cking impossible. That being the clear case he should have been punished. This decision just indicates that at worst corruption runs deep or at best its all an old pals act, and way too cosy for the good of the sport in this country.Deserter wrote:Glad someone else picked up on this rather than just focusing on the rematch - it's a disgrace that absolutely no action is being taken against him, especially since by ordering a rematch there's an implicit acknowledgement that something went badly wrong.tonyevs wrote:sad nothing really done about O`Connor. Watch it again, McD is goosed, not hurt.BroughtonRulesRefuge wrote:Deserter wrote:- It seems your unseemly recall needs a recall.BroughtonRulesRefuge wrote: I seem to recall Fury himself making similarly baseless claims prior to the first fight and yet his punches looked about as powerful as a Robin Reliant for the majority of the fight when it came down to backing that up.

Fury knocked out McD gumshield twice and had him twice more turn his back and literally RUN to the ropes into the ref's luvving arms to keep from being knocked out. O'conner's not blind like this crowd and gave Fury the lopsided decision. McD was brave in the beginning, but strictly in survival mode by end after a good pulping by Fury.
We shall see about my forecast. I'm predicting another terrible rain of punches on McD who will be tossing his wet towel quite a bit earlier this time around. After this fight Fury desperately needs to vacate the isles for now so as not be sucked into the dreary scene of the British heavy division that Haye avoided like the plague for this exact reason.
