yes ye see the thing is with this thread is that when tommy hearns beat frank bruno back in 1927 that was to unify the strawweight divison but i am sure it would of bean more difficult to step up to super bantam to fight lets say chuck liddel who beat larry holmes back in 2009 at super light matchstick fly weight

I believe Floyd will have trouble when he faces a good fighter who can match his speed. You take a speedster and throw him in there with a quality opponent who is just as fast or faster, and strange things can happen. When that opponent is also a monster with a killer jab and brutal power...yeah, Floyd would be in trouble.

Not sure Tommy stops him, but he'd definitely bust that snot box. I don't believe Money has the power or mindset to turn it around when he falls behind.

- Does anyone serious believe Mr. Moneybags would sign to meet Hearns, Leonard, Pryor, or Duran?

He'd be having Hilmer Kenty or Sean O'grady move up from lightweight or one of those Asian champs at jrwelt. He more closely resembles Benitez in style, good defensively but not enough offense against ATG offensive fighters. He moved up and challenged Hope for his new belt, another option for MM.

Hearns' style and size is all wrong for PBF, and he doesn't have the power to turn the fight around. Can only see Hearns winning this by a big margin on the cards, or by KO if Mayweather got brave but I think he'd probably go into survival mode unless he has hidden depths of fortitude that his opponents so far have not brought out of him.

pbf could maybe carry his jock strap about 5 seconds, or 12 feet

I can't envision Floyd against legendary welters yet, I'll have to see how he does in the future before I could determine this.
