But let's consider this, HBO were heavily sold on Dirrell being the next big thing by Gary Shaw.

His fight with Curtis Stevens was so bad they dropped him from any future events and has since been on Showtime.

Anyway, whilst were on the subject of stand-in fighters for Taylor... we've heard Green from Dibella, Miranda from Goosen.

Why not get Pascal in? vacate that title and head into the super six.

I'd love to see him against Kessler, Ward, Abraham etc.

froch was hitting fresh air nearly all night.

Froch showed aggression and landed more power shots, so he won, I don't know what the fuss is about. Dirrell implemented his game plan and dictated the pace of the fight better than did froch, but if your game plan isn't to fight that's irrelivent. The reson Mayweather wins is because when he does trade he connects hard and often.

Dirrell landed a lot of flurrys of light punches but didn't sustain anything and froch landed the occasional heavyer picture but it was his face that looked beat up after.

There are weaknesses in Froch's style but that's what makes boxing so facinating he is a bit slow of hands and his hands are low, but he keeps opponents of balance and hits hard.

Wheras Mayweather would make you miss, then punish you with fast counters - Dirrell would make them miss and then blink and he'd be at the other side of the ring.

Also,when he'd back on the ropes, Froch would something, Dirrell would sprint out of the way but instead of then turning and hitting he would run back to the middle of the ring. A Mayweather on the ropes would make you miss and then sting you back whilst still on the ropes.

Sticking in your tongue out or grinning dont really have any impact, like say, a punch.

All you guys need to ask yourself is this: having worked with every major broadcaster, why are Hennessy promotions unable to secure a deal with any of them?

yeh i agree with you gomez. making froch miss then running to the other end of the ring like usain bolt.looses you round's due to a thing called negativety.i had the fight 114-114. but saying that dirrell didn't deserve the victory.

ive just watched the fight again..the other night i had it to dirrell by a point..tonight i had it to froch by 2....

so...froch v kessler will be a war.

dirrell v abraham will be good, abraham is a tight guarded hooker (apart from his one straight 11th hour punch the other night).. i can see dirrel finding abraham easier than he found froch, i think abraham is more orthodox than froch and therefore dirrell will pick his advances earlier.
