He verbally kicked Mayweather's ass on there, pure class.

I think this may light a fire under Mayweather and he'll want to fight Pac/Mosley as a result but then again I think he was going to face Pacquaio anyway as the money was too much not to. To be fair though Mayweather has been gone 18months and was due a tune up, when the Hatton and Delahoya fights happened they were both seen as challenges and both the biggest fight in boxing at the time. Mayweather isnt the best of all time and never will be, he isnt that good. Mayweather needs to retain bargaining power so he isnt going to come out and say he wants Pacquaio, but its the biggest money fight out there if he beats Cotto. We have to wait for the result of that 1 though

The interviewer also doesnt know his boxing as well as he thinks he does 'Mosley was on a losing streak in 99', 'you havent fought anyone since Corrales' - hmm Castillo? DLH? Hatton? Judah? Allot of people bet against Mayweather in those last 3 and even in the Gatti fight many werent sure he'd handle Gattis size and power.

Nice one, really enjoyed that! From that interview I think it's safe to say Mayweather will never fight Paul Williams. Mosley maybe.... though I'd love to see Williams-Mayweather. But not sure Williams can boil down to 147lbs anymore. Floyd versus Cotto/Pacquiao has to happen - as PN says theres just too much in money in that one for it not to happen. It will be one of the great travesties in boxing a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight doesn't happen. I think stylistically Pacquaio gives Mayweather more problems than Cotto would.

In an interview as long and as quick fire as that, you're bound to make mistakes. I thought he showed a good knowledge of the sport, and, besides, his point was still made very well even with the mistakes, and the point is what counts.

As funny as that was to hear, I've put my Mayweather bashing on hold.

He's out of retirement and has the opportunity to make amends. I really want to start liking him again.

Not knocking that R A guy either, it's what Floyd needs to hear. I'm sure a sizable chunk of his detractors are in the same boat as myself, one time fans who got tired of being pis*ed on and told it's raining.

I'm pretty sure I never posted on that forum but I used to check it out once a week because, as well as some good pointers on what new stuff was out there, you could guarentee 2-3 genuine laugh-out-loud moments when reading the General Talk forum, useually when another 'Uni vs the world' row broke out!
