If you see the original post, it is made clear that it is the use of the word as a pejorative that I believe is a backwards step for humanity. Queer and gay are obviously perfectly fine in the right context. I never asked for a ban, just for your post to be deleted. I don't look like anything now, because this is the internet, but you seem fairly ignorant. Ask yourself this, what's the difference between using a racial term in a pejorative sense, and doing the same with a term in relation to sexuality or disability?

I was just pointing out that this kind of thing that those lovely facists in the BNP would be just fine with. I was not accusing him directly of being a facist, and I was being slighty tongue in cheek.

I accept that the balance between free speech and political correctness is a fairly difficult one as you point out. However, it seems to be widely frowned upon when racist labels are written that they are deleted and that if racial terms are used as a pejorative, and rightly so. I don't see any problem with the same standards being attributed to sexuality or disability. Its not that difficult.

Would you really defend a person's right to use the n or c words with respect to African people?

Seriously, its not that long ago that some very embarrassing levels of racism were very prevalent in society. Thankfully that has now been marginalised to a great extent. I think that in a few generations people will look back on this stuff in a similar way.
