You have to score fights on the basis of aggressiveness too, and that's what's normally done, but was not done here. Otherwise you can have a small faster man fighting a bigger slower man and the small man could just run away and occasionally jump in and throw a single punch and then run away again which is exactly what Haye did. You couldn't get away with that in MMA because the big man could just tackle the little guy. What would stop a 115 pounder from boxing a heavyweight like that - running away, jumping in with a single punch, then running away again? No way Haye should have been handed a championship for that performance.

So are you bactracking from 'landed more punches' or just hoping no one asks if you are still claiming it?

No but they were very similiar. I don't see how someone can have a significantly different view on one fight compared to the other. Both guys ran alot, landed more than their opponent, and had their man hurt late. Dirrell held more, but he also threw more. Neither Dirrell or Haye were hit with anything meaningful. and they both made their opponent look foolish at times Some people are praising Haye for putting on a boxing clinic, yet at the same time whining about how boring and scared Dirrell was, and how he didn't do enough to take the champions title in his backyard. I just can't see how they could have such contrasting views on the two fights.
