Ruiz fight will still do over 500,000 box office numbers it be UK friendly time. Haye profile will go through the roof now. Its a shame Froch can't get his next fight on to big stage than primetime!

I'd say more like 250,000 PPV buys for the Ruiz fight which would still be good but it just dosent have the storyline or marketability that Valuev/Haye brought so the media who are the most important element to creating a Buzz and Hype for the public to bite won't be as interested in covering it or make it a 'Can't Miss' PPV

Although all the pubs, bars, clubs and casino's that showed the fight and saw their places heaving with young lads buying drinks and watching the fight will definately bite again.

I'd recommend that the Haye team skips the Ruiz fight as a PPV and waits to get one of the Klitschko brothers into the ring before he does PPV again as he'd be able to renegotiate a much larger PPV percentage he'd get off the back of the Valuev figures and a Klitschko PPV is sure to do 500,000 plus.

Better off trying to get Ruiz on regular Sky sports or even the BBC who may well be interested now that Haye can show the level of British public interest there was for the Valuev fight.

i think the hope will be that the fighter, not "just" the fight, is the attraction.

after a year out, with world titles in 2 weights, and upcoming a better showcase for his offensive skills (ruiz), i think haye should fight regularly and rake it in, get away with what he can for a bit, before seeking the next big test.

Haye is heavyweight champ it willdo 500000 buys I am sure of it he be a bigger star come time of defence. The fight won't be on bbc he lose money on it! I had 12 mates round Saturday all of us will be going to his first defence it sell out a O2 or possibly the New Den!

This is good and bad. Good that the casual fans bought it, bad that they may be put off boxing as a result, it was 1 of the least action packed affairs of the last few years, its a pity they cant watch Cotto-Pacquaio on the same card (I know they cant) because if they could 10000s of new fans would emerge, but not with this tripe

As i have said,he did less than 200 in Huddersfield.Fair play to him,he's done a lot since, but the o2 takes some selling out(and it's not the cheapest venue to hire!)The Macc fight was different because we all thought it was 50-50!
