Did anyone else think that the Renda vs Samuels and Mathews vs Lawton fights were stopped a bit too soon?

I find fights like Renda Samuels just a little disappointing tbh. If the pay was better in boxing no way would folk be getting smashed to pieces like that. The standard would be higher. Too much basics going out the window. It somewhat takes the edge off a win when you yourself look like you've just been hit by a truck. IMHO.

Long way back for Matthews now, obviously Lawton is a decent fighter, but only a gatekeeper to domestic class

to be fair Khan has and Murray looks like ....(and Thaxton might have gone on to) World Class. Lawton's a decent operator. It was already slipping away from Matthews IMO after what Choi served up. Matthews hasn't had a really good night since he whipped that MAnc....either Foster or the one that Simpson stopped......sorry the name escapes me,....Morris??

Seen it on the replay and Renda was taking some heavy blows and was going into a shell, there was nothing coming back from him. I think his reaction when O'Connor stepped in tells alot, there wasn't really much complaint from Renda.

The 1st time I seen the Renda-Samuels fight I thought it was quite early but when I watched it again it was spot on, Samuels throw about 6 punches and all landed they were big punches as well and Renda didnt throw back, it was a coorect decision imo. Lawton vs Matthews was a bit early imo but if it went longer I would of only seen Lawton stopping him all the same
