Yes, I think Matthews should try and get back to Feather. He still looked decent offensively, quick and with good footwork. Just looked way outsized.

Good win for Lawton, I would have liked to have seen him pack in if he would have lost again. He shipped alot against Thaxton, Khan and Murray.... but now can move on now. Showed to me he was ambitious in the game. Would like to see him fight at Superfeather. Lawton vs Burns is a good one.

He might be better off going back to Featherweight, if he still can.

He also needs to comeback against low level journeymen, before attempting to fight any other contenders again, in my opinion.
fair post that im with u if he beats a few journeymen get the confident wich he has deffo lost the build himself back up because he is only 27 but i think featherweight to

watching this on saturday night, it looked to me like Lawton hurt him badly with right hands to the body. Derry never seemed to like it downstairs to me.

Matthews should retire. He's shot. As soon as the going got tough he folded. Its happened several times now. Its time he walked away. He could drop down a level and beat some crap opposition, but whats the point in that. He's held a minor world title, had some good wins in his career, but he can't take it anymore and his confidence is nil.

Find a low level fighter he can grab a win against and then call it a day.
