Hey hey, I'm just pointing out the obvious Grey.
I'm not the one swearing over a second rate fighter. But I'll "stop" anyways.

Jackson is always criticized for having a bad chin. Outside of his TKO to McCallum his next loss was when he was losing his sight due to having a detached retina and was already past his prime. Not to mention jumping up to face a puncher who was bigger and just as dangerous as Mugabi in Gerald McClellan. It took 5 rounds for McClellan to stop Jackson the first time. I doubt Mugabi would do it any sooner if at all. I'd go with Jackson by KO2!

There is no way Jackson would have survived 2 rounds with a prime Mugabi.
Norris and Mclennan beat a weight drained partied out and blind Mugabi, with cataracts over both eyes.
A prime Mugabi would have found Jackson a treat. Jackosn stalked and exchanged, he would have played right into the faster and stronger Mugabi's hands.
A prime Mugabi had a better defence and Chin too.
Mugabi by KO.
Jackson suits him to a TEE.

It's a fight of whoever lands first. Neither man could take the best each had to throw. Mugabi was thicker than Jackson and more physical...Jackson was faster...they were pretty equal in punching power and they were pretty equal in skill. I think Mugabi was the tougher fighter as he demonstrated with Hagler, but I think it would be a toss-up fight and one that the first to land solid wins...would it be Mugabi's big, crippling right, or Jackson's brutal, quick left hook to land first? Early Double Knockout!!!!

Jackson KO'ed: Norris, Drayton, Baek, Graham, Milton.
Mugabi KO'ed: Parker, Green and Fletcher.
While I don't doubt Mugabi could punch, I don't think he hit as hard as Jackson. Also outside of the punches he took from Hagler, I think his chin proved to be even worse than Jackson's. He never really beat a world class champion, where as Jackson KO'ed a few and in his prime only really lost to McCallum. I still stick with Jackson by KO!
