Fury is talking a load of shit here and so badly needs to tone it down before we all begin to hate him.

Being confident and predicting that you will win a world title is fine but Putting Haye down with comments like this is making him look like a complete tool.

Eraserhead wrote:Terrible interview. Hennessy is ruining Fury by letting him go on like this. Don't forget, Fury has got zero fanbase right now. Does anybody even know where he's from?
He's never headlined a show in his home town and has no support outside his close circle of pikey friends and family.

A very unlikeable fighter. I can't wait to see him get beaten again. McDermott's schooling of him was one of my favourite moments of 2009. Fury is awful.
Out of respect to the Travellers that use this forum, could you tone it down the Racist remarks,Instead of PIKEY,You try to use Gypsy/Traveller instead and keep your thoughts to yourself.wheather you like Travellers or not.

Thanks.

Now its Furys turn.....

to take on Yavor Marinchev.

He's gone the distance with Price, Burton and Olubamiwo.

Oh, & we're not all as deluded as Tyson is.

Not quite as deluded, anyway.

x2, i've been to a lot of gyms, and one thing I always find is that fighters are the same the world over, everyone is equal in the gym, even in pre apartheid South Africa boxing gyms were about the only places which were 'mixed'
People need to show some respect and common courtesy

Tyson is clearly of the belief that all publicity is good publicity. I can't say I agree; I don't think going down the pantomime villain route is what Hennessy had in mind for him.
He is fighting the guy Larry fought last week.

The big difference will be that Tyson 'Uppercut Yourself' Fury will be looking for the KO and will not learn jack!

I thought pikey was another name for a "chav"?

Heres a forum i found about it: http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=96126
No, pikey (or more properly pikie) is a term used for a traveller who's been ostracised from the tribe.

"Chav" is taken from the Romanichal word "Chavee/Chavvo" which is a term you use when talking to a familiar (normally younger) Rrom (male/female), analogous to "boy/girl" but with connotations of "mate".

Both are Roma words used as insults by non-Roma, who don't know what the words mean.

I think its just todays way of putting your name forward for a world title fight.

I too don`t like it - but as David haye himself would admit - trash talk can get you a straight shot at the title. And in this day and age of pretty dreadful heavyweight champions, Tyson Fury stands as good a chance as any of them ... :-?

I actually agree. He's poor but at least he has shown improving stamina and chin.
I kinda agree,if he is going to trash talk then let it be against the British levels fighters 1st & not against somebody like Haye who is 100 times above him in class.

guys , thanks for all the comments.

Just my take on the man himself.

He came across as an actual likable guy, When we were talking about the McDermott fight he seemed more concerned with people thinking it was a good fight rather than the result. He was also talking about taking his time and learning before the big step up.

Which is why I was shocked when I asked him for a timescale for his entrnace at world level and he made the comments on David.

For those who ask why Hennessy let him speak like this, well it was a off chance meeting. I had just interviewed Scott Quigg and Thomas Mcdonagh for Friday night and I was told Tyson had a fight on Saturday so I bagged the interview.

I felt he was coming across more humble than usual until the last rant, of which I am still not sure what it was about. If Haye offered him a fight I doubt him or anyone in his camp would be stupid enough to let him take it. Accoriding to Tyson his dad has been telling him not to take the British title yet, to keep learning his trade in the 6 or 8 rounders.

I cant believe he's moved trainers again, I think he should go and work with Joe Gallagher or someone and just set up with him.

He says the fight with Big John will be in January I take it will be a Hennessy show so what channel is it going to be on?

Yes, I mean why does it even have to come into it?, Whats it got to do with who you are or where your from etc? If your a prick your a prick...simple as! If Fury was black, would those who mock him pikey would they mock him being black? Also Haye would beat him out of sight and Im sure McDermott would beat him again because he did the first time and even Fury knows it.

Jesus , Fury thinks he matches Haye for power????

Am i right in thinking that only Matthew Ellis has been floored by headshots thrown by Fury.
Thats hardly the hardest thing to do for a heavyweight.

When Steve Bunce did his recent show at Leeds, at "half time" so to speak there was some talk at the bar and an ex-pro from Sheffield put the boot in on this website's forum, saying the way British fighters get slated by British fans is disappointing. Having just read this thread, maybe he had a point ?

I appreciate that a forum is the exact place for the exchange of opinions, banter, criticism and venting. I do it myself, but is Tyson Fury really deserving of what's been put on this thread ?

"sort his pikey head out"
"get in shape"
"... is a clown"
"going nowhere fast"
"... is Tye Fields incarnate"
"... daft prick"
".... totally useless"
"very unlikeable fighter"
"..awful.."
"prize prick of the domestic scene"
"a fool"
"a bum"
"talking a load of poop"
"his dad is a pillock"

He's a young unbeaten British heavyweight prospect. He didn't deserve the verdict over McDermott but that was a referee's decision. Somebody posted earlier that he doesn't have any fans and is very dislikeable, but I know several mates who follow his career and enjoy watching him box. He's only been a pro for a year.

We're all entitled to our opinions and maybe Fury will amount to something, maybe not, but that ex-pro at the Steve Bunce show seems to have a point.

he's boxed in about 10 countries...almost a different one for each fight. I find that quite staggering tbh. A very international boxer for just 5 wins.

so its ok for fury to be ridiculous an make outlandish statements but we arent allowed to comment.

what do you weant us to say..yeah fury hit the nail on the head there he is better than haye the unified cruiserweight champ who has just stepped up and won the world heavyweight title...SORRY BUT NO. SHUT UP.

he is talking utter shite and deserves all the criticism for doing so. So its ok for fury to badmouth haye but not for the forum to castigate him for doing so .....sorry but do one ...........that thinking is cobblers....

how about he gives haye some props and focussing on getting to english level first before shouting his fat mouth off.

Some of the stuff ive read since this bloke has turned pro has been ridiculous bordering on offensive in some cases, how proud was his father of his lads having 100 or so alleged violent offences to their name...? What example does that set...what a pillar of the community he must be.

I stand by my comment the blokes a pillock.

You wanna lord that up..go do it.....personally i think its a pretty pathetic and stupid stance to take.
