Ricardo Lopez TKO 5 Hideyuki Ohashi.
First world title fight of Finito.
Fantastic showing by Lopez, outclassed defending Japanese champ who went on to win further world titles. Barely took a punch, floored him three times with the patented Nacho Beristain jab-straight right-left uppercut combo.

Last night:
Gregorio "Goyo" Vargas vs Paul Hodkinson.
Fantastic fight, near-unknown Vargas comes in & pastes Hoko, mixing deft boxing with toe-to-toe stuff. Crumples the Liverpool lad in the seventh. After a performance as good as that, you can see why Goyo was over-rated by some. He looked like a star, & only 22.

great thread
Hideyuki Ohashi KO 9 Jum Hwan Choi 2-07-90
what a war !
both guys banging each other with power punches, especially in the 2nd half of the fight. They would trade and land huge shots on each other, but neither would go down, until Ohashi went to the body.
glad i happened to find this classic...check it out if you can.

Good fight. Anyone know why it was Regans last? I seem to recall brain scan issue but not sure.

Casamayor-Katsidis. Quite an entertaining stoush. Like a good woman, really. On their backs a bit, rough, lots of sneaky bullsh!t, & a little bit dirty.

Bad decision I had it 116-112 to Fenech.
Then I watched Wright vs Trinada what a performance by Wright it was truly brilliant I gave him very minute of every round, Tito SR was terrible in the corner

Im going through a few Quartey fights right now. Always admired his style of fighting.
Ike Quartey vs Crisanto Espana
Ike at his best that jab was a think of beauty and a brutal finish.

You should watch his match against Jung-Oh Park that was seriously a one sided beatdown.
