Bellew has had 11 fights for god's sake. Take a look at any other prospect in the country and their records will be similar to The Bomber's.
Cleverly stating that he'll "laugh at Bellew's best shot" is also a big shout.
Be careful what ya wish for Nathan. I'm sure we'll soon find out.

this is brewing up nicely now.
i know that bellew said he wants to win titles and cleverly has two of the titles that he wants, so he wants to fight cleverly, and he believes he will beat cleverly.
i have heard that cleverly said bellew has only fought bums and that when they fight he will stand there and laugh at bellews biggest shots and hit him back with a 100 more. (maybe some 1 could post the interview of cleverly saying that).
il tell you 1 thing for an absolute fact! no light heavy could afford to stand there and take bellews best shots then laugh
that is chatting utter bubbles. what cleverly is forgetting is that joe vegas had cleverly down and rocked to his boots, so what the hell is bomber gunna do if he catches cleverly?
cant see this fight happening for at least a year but when it does im going to put a hell of allot of money on bellew to k.o. the bandana karate kid wannabe.

this just shows you know nothing about nothing, ha your an arm chair fan just as i thought. bellew has never ever been down in his life as an am pro or in a spar. get your facts right before you chat bubbles.

You need to check ya facts Mero (please tell me your not a Marc Mero fan.)
Bomber has been given one count as a pro, that was against the Latvian Andreevs. Replays later showed it was a trip. In the ams, Bellew received a standing count versus Steve Simmons because the ref was concerned over one shot Bellew took. He never once hit the floor as an amateur. Absolute fact.
There you have it, not one knockdown in his entire career caused by a punch.

100% right the quiet man.
but just to add something to that the count against simmons was off a jab and bellew barely flinched and coundnt believe he got a count. a short while after bellew k.od him in a big way. but he never went down he took a jab and the ref said stop boxing give an unbelievable count then bomber k.od him

Down to me means taking a count but I will concede that he may not have been actually on the floor, although I think he was from memory but not certain.
your god damn right your not certain coz hes never been down, and i hope thats the fight your on about because it was off a jab, and he was boxing when the ref said stop boxing, then he went and won the fight by k.o,
so billy bulshiter is changing his story to oh he mightnt of went down even tho that was his whole argument to well he took a count hahaha, fool,

I think we are talking about the same fight. i think bellew was behind and losing the fight and had taken a count but got the stoppage. thats the fight i am talking about. from memory (this was years ago), bellew was behind and was definitely shaken when he got his count.
you said he was never down? to me, taking a count is a "knockdown", thats what I meant. and he WAS hurt and he WAS behind in the fight and LOSING.
To the keyboard warriors jumping on me left right and centre, I bet you didn't know that you muppets.
didnt know what? bellew took a stupid count off a jab and was still carrying on boxing coz he didnt know there was a count, he wasnt hurt 1% it was a jab u ass clown.
what a top draw idiot you really are.
and thats what i meant????????????? hahahaha no it isnt billy bull5hitter you got caught chatting 5hit and n ow your trying to change your story.

A standing count is not a knockdown.
The fight in question was the 2004 Four nations final against Steve Simmons. Bellew was taking part in something like his 5th open class fight against an experienced campaigner, no shame in being behind to a mans caliber.
Julio Cesar Chavez was dominated by Meldrick Taylor for 11 rounds and a half rounds, Chavez stopped him with one second remaining. Chavez is known as a legend in this sport.
You still havent told me if your a Marc Mero fan. I certainly hope not.

just for the record bellew won a fight a week before the simmons fight and didnt know he was boxing him so he was celebrating in the week of his last win and then got a call with 2 days notice to fight simmons, he had 48hours notice and if you do get the tape up wich i pray u will do, you will hear terry edwards saying to bellew "youv been pratting around all week" bellew didnt even know he was fighting simmons till last minute he was a complete novice of the game fought a really good fighter and k.od him, not bad if u ask me?

Great line from only fools

From what ive seen of Bellew and admittedly it aint much, i dont think he has the speed and dynamic to go with his heavy hands. Im trying to say yes he hits hards, but when ive seen him I dont think wow, that was fast and powerfull and that will eventually be his downfall when he gets to European class.[/quote]
first off teddy your right a classic line from a classic show
your entitled to your oppinion so fair play, but i know that bellew is a huge puncher (11 wins as apro 8 inside the distance, 47 am fights 40 wins and 32 k.os) but also a really great boxer, people havnt seen enough of him to see that yet, but the better the opponent the better he will look, its hard to look a classy boxer when the second you hit a boxer and they feel your power they took up in there shell,
in a recent interview tony dodson said he remembers sparring bellew for the first time and saying at the time he couldnt wait to spar him he fancied a real tur up, but when they spared he said he couldnt believe how hard bellew was to hit, and he got a big shock.
what am trying to say is when bellew steps up and people are trying to attack him and make mistakes doing so, youl soon see just how much bellew has changed since being an amateur and how well he can box.

I take nothing personal pal, But when you state I was knocked down?? I take a lie a bit personal!! It was a jab I was given a count for. :P If you know am boxing you'll know if you take 2 or 3 clean punches you get a standing count!! Crazy game, I remember the fight though, I went and boxed a mini national hero in Scotland in Steve Simmons, It was my 17th fight and my 1st for England, Also do you know I ain't seen someone else do to him what I did to him that night!! The kid has boxed all over the world too!! You really should just do a bit of research before saying you seen me on the floor pal..
Good luck in the future anyways.Kind Regards
Bomber.

I remember that fight, steven was jabbing bombers head off and was miles ahead on points then bomber power caught up with him in the last round was it not? am also sure that bomber hit him the ref shouted stop boxing for a count but then has hit him again with a big shot?

that is the fight mate. not sure if it was 3 or 4 when he stopped him. but i know it was 1 of his early fights for his country, he was very raw at the time and stopped a realy good established amateur. and on the point when he hit him when the ref said stop, he hit him with a great shot and simmons was gone the fight was already over, but when he hit him he followed it up with another punch but the ref said stop just has he threw it, theres no way he could have pulled out to be honest.
1 last important thing, i clearly remember bellew celebrating days before the fight of his last win, and he had no idea he was going to fight for his country so you can immagine he was a little rusty in the early rounds but then took control of the fight later on
