It's only a normal SKY card never should this fight be on PPV. I'll not buy it. You can always stream it if you choose too.
Re: Khan pay per view joke
Exactly, they will have the 'final judgement' thing on within a week so it's worth just waiting for that in my opinion. No way is it worth £15 for his joke fights.banjo wrote:Oh and it'll be on Sky Sports for your usual subscription cost next wednesday or thursday.

Ah pish, why give value for money when they can get a seperate screening fee for that from Sky for FNF?Hagler2002 wrote:Cleverly's European title shot was going to be on it, after Kell Brook's pull out against Jennings I thought he would have ended up on the card.leforge wrote:It never was a cracking card, what other fights were annouced?

Not paying 15 quid for this rubbish. Wonder how many others will be willing too.
Khan is really a contender, beating Kotelnik and Salita, does not a real world champ make. I'm not paying 15 quid so Khan can fatten his account.

Like people funded his previous fights? I don't think so. People are making a stand against Khan and it's showing in his PPV numbers. It's no coincidence that every single one of Khan's PPV fights has bombed. He's only getting five figures, whereas something like Haye-Valuev was closer to one million. A big difference in promotion, importance of fight and then numbers.Cramps99 wrote:People will fund this. Fair play to Khan for exploiting the stupidity.
As far as this card goes, Prescott-Mitchell is the main event for me. I'd rather watch that than Khan-Salita. I definitely won't be buying this PPV. I like watching Khan, but if I'm going to pay to watch him fight, it needs to be a competitive fight that gets the juices flowing. Salita doesn't do that, and is actually a step back from Barrera and Kotelnik.
Re: Khan pay per view joke
Khan vs McCloskey isn't a bad fight at all. Maybe not PPV worthy, but its a good un IMO. McCloskey is on a great run of form, very underated.
Re: Khan pay per view joke
can't see what mccloskey brings, or what he can do, vs khan.
Re: Khan pay per view joke
He's tricky and has quick hands. Has a very unorthodox style and is now quite experienced at the EBU level (yes he's just won the title, but he's been fighting EBU level opponents since early 2008.Autobarn wrote:can't see what mccloskey brings, or what he can do, vs khan.
He aint a dynamite puncher, but I think he hits as hard as Kotelnik and he's quicker than Kotelnik. His power is underated. He also seems to have a very good chin and good stamina. I was most impressed with the way he handled Lynes (as a replacement).
I think Khan would probably be too much, but I would actually favour him over 2 of our other world ranked Light Welters (Witter and Olusegan).

Breidis Prescott has 'obligatory drop out - lame last minute sub' for Kevin Mitchell written all over it. I'll believe it when Prescott's in the ring.
I wouldn't pay/support Sky, Frankie or Amir Khan in this awful bum of the month club routine, I'll just watch the fight at the pub.

Re: Khan pay per view joke
Not paying for this. We used to get fights/cards well above this level without them being PPV - don't listen to Sky and Wazza, these fights don't need this to be made.
It's a shame, I'd like to see it and the Mitchell-Prescott fight but it's not worth £15 on top of my subscription.
Will try to download it the morning after from somewhere and feel pleased with myself that in some small way I've 'stolen' from those money grabbing kunts.
