OK I was watching Gavin on Saturday night have now watched the full fight. My Mrs said it right.....he is not the type of exciting fighter I would(meaning her) would pay to see and I must say I aggree with that. He had no real authority behind his punches and his jab had no power behind it at all. I was dissapointed but its still early days.

I thought he looked ok went back to the his am style from what I seen throwing single scoring shots and moving he didnt get hit a lot but wasnt throwing a lot of combo's. The stoppage was very poor

@mr boxing I'll rewatch but I'm certain at one point he was buzzed by a right hand. Nothing wrong with that, even Floyd gets tagged.

i think i understand the bit that you were on about..gavin had him hurt then the french guy fired back with a few shots. landed with a right hand. don't think he was hurt but the french guy showed alot of heart. i think it's gavin's best performance so far.

i can see where your missus is coming from.i thought he was good to watch on saturday. he will never be ricky hatton or david haye. but gavin is a counter-puncher. don't think we will see the real frankie till he is in meaningful title fights. he doesn't have the ko power. but he is real classy when he want's to be. he has a cracking jab. and fast hands. still alot to work on

Never seen the fight but what do you lads expect it was only frankie 5 th fight he is just a puppie learning his trade makes me laugh ,he will never be a ricky hatton well he wont yet he is a novice pro and i no the lad will go a long way best of look Franki
