Performance of the year has to go to Ryan Rhodes, He was amazing that night and will win a world title I have no doubt!!
As for fight of the year I think it was Skelton Vs Rogan BUT probably cos I was 10ft away!! I've never seen 2 guys dish it out and take it back so much in all my life, Neither man was the same after that night though I firmly believe that..

Well as this is the "British and Irish" forum I will consider the thread to include all fights which occurred in Britain or Ireland.
It's hardly a shock that I am going to go for Dunne-Cordoba. I didn't go to the arena that night as a Dunne fan per se, in fact I was extremely sceptical with regards the Dubliners ability to with those long battering ram rights of Cordoba's. But that fifth round showed the man has a massive heart and the crowd certainly did there pretty - from start to finish the atmosphere was electric.
I've been lucky enough to get to go to a lot of sporting events, FA Cup, Rugby League Grand final, The Derby, Grand National, Wimbledon etc and music events but I've seen nothing like the buzz in the O2 Arena that night and the 11th round was unbelievable - standing on the backs of the seats infront of us jumping around screaming - it was something else.
Unforgetable fight, unforgetable night! I'll never forget it.

I think everyone knows without doubt that Dunne-Cordoba was the best fight by far in Ireland or Britian this year and I agree with you that it was the best atmosphere I've ever experienced, what a day for Irish sport with the Rugby boys winning the Grand Slam earlier in the day aswell! But when I set up this thread I was trying to gauge peoples reactions to the best fight involving two British fighters over the year.

Be interesting to see how the so called experts see it, when they dish out their awards.
