That's taking it a bit too far.

I know it's hard to defend that but it's really hard getting matches for Olympians. I did some work with a US Olympian and nobody would fight him.
You either have fighters who won't fight him because they know they're just there to get beat or those that would fight them but are a bit too much of a risk at such an early stage. Frank was obviously just trying to get someone in on the cheap and hope that they are as good as their record and can give them a few rounds.

I understand that but would it not be worthwhile paying a little extra so the fighters progress doesn't stagnite

Does it really matter about Price's and Jeffries's quality of opponent at this stage?
Isn't it more important to keep them busy?

as a fan, I like to see contests that are not pointless one sided.

Broadhurst waits on Haskins like he´s Roy Jones or something. Just throw and you´ll win. 1-1-1.

This Maloney bashing is unfair and here's why. If this is his worst show of the year, u still get a good main event on paper, Power-Edmonds and Webb-Morby. i got banned by Wazza because i slated a show that, main event aside, the best fight on paper was Liam Walsh-John Baguley. Maloney generally puts on deep (more bouts than all his rivals) well-matched bills. 'others' save that for PPV

I agree there- some of the Waz Friday Fight Night shows have awfully poorly matched undercards.
Most do, in fact.
