x 2.
McIntyre will certainly pose the big banger some questions and test his stamina.
Good fight.
x3
and Kevin Anderson was never the same for getting in the ring 7 weeks after Francis Jones. That said Francis wasn't dancing any jigs for a week or 2 after either!

Anderson was a totally different fighter when he trained out of Manchester with Shannon, turned him into a dud overnight. A pre-Shannon would have walked right through McIntyre. I saw Anderson stop McIntyre in sparring, with daft hats and gloves on, for fornicate sake, then he fights him shortly after that and looked shit. Shannon done the kid no favours

I don't know where you saw Anderson decking McIntyre in sparring, from what I know Mcintyre left the sparring feeling Anderson could'nt handle his southpaw style and that's why he felt so confident fighting him!!!
As for Shannon training him, I believe he is a good trainer but the problem with Anderson was he got complacent! He probably believed he should have been moved up sooner but was left fighting a british level to try and keep the belt. I can guarantee he believed he was going to walk through McIntyre in 3 rounds after a couple of body shots! He was'nt up for the fight and probably never trained as such and consequently that's his own fault!!!!!!!!!
But take nothing away from McIntyre becuase he is a good fighter he just has Anderson's number and I believe he will outbox Thompson and maybe stop him late if he gets frustrated and starts lunging in!

There is always the chance the Thompson could blow Mcintyre away as he really can crack and Mcintyre as shown in the past to be vunerable early, especially downstairs. But Thompson can be a bit wild at times and tends to load up too much - as a consequence he gets tired down the stretch and leaves himself open. If he hasn't improved significantly since the Harouche fight I can see Mcintyre outpointing him.

Well I can tell you, before Anderson moved his training to manchester he was handling McIntyre in sparring very very easily, he stopped him with a single body shot in one spar after 2-3 rounds, I saw then spar a fair few times and NEVER saw McIntyre get the better of Anderson. If he had stayed where he was he would have beaten McIntyre every day of the week. Before going to manchester he was a little buzzsaw, loads of punches with great speed, after manchester he was a single shooting ploddy guy, moved with the speed of an iceberg. Well done Shannon

Is there any news on Kevin Anderson making a come back?, he should still has plenty to give I think he was in to many wars for a young laddie, Gilmour is a shit manager all his young boxers always seem to look good but burn out early.

Well I think we will have to agree to disagree on this one, I know both fighters well and I believe what I posted is more or less spot on!
The only thing I will say is I did'nt see the sparring but I did hear what came out and McIntyre has always felt that Anderson did not enjoy his southpaw style!
And for the record I done a bit of training with Shannon and I think his training methods were good. You can show somebody everything you know but if the don't take it in or believe they are above who they are fighting their is not a lot else you can do!

i told Kev about this debate last night and he did say that he was Winded in one of there sparring sessions but other than that he basically outboxed Anderson.
End of the Day sparring meant nothing , theres a difference between sparring in a small ring and when your not at your full fitness etc ,
Folk go into sparring after Weekends on the Bevy but for a fight with notice then they can get to full fitness and this shows there true potential.
All the excuses in the world for the first fight can be used but the second time round Anderson says he was fully refreshed and fit and would make up for the first one and got outboxed again albeit he put in a much better performance ,
Kevin had his number and basically ended his career
Dont forget Kevin beat a very good boxer in Tony Docherty before that and i would say Doherty is better than Anderson
he was much better mover but again Kevin sussed him out.
Thompson should be in for some of the same all going to plan

Thomson has the potential to end the fight early, ala Kell Brook, lets see what happens

Think Tommo will stop him early with the left hook
