Tony ayala before his first sence he look very explosive and aggresive from what footage ive seen??? Ike ieabuchi was a very strong and beat David Tua throwing a high work rate of punches for a heavyweight what alot of heavies would of bin unable to cope with. What about Billy Collins?? Heard he was a ver good prospect??? Again not seen much footage??

Actually Dempsey ducked Wills, and it was Tunney who ducked Godfrey.
Tunney didn't duck Godfrey. Godfrey was not the #1 contender when Tunney was the champion.

I was doing a lot of random acts of kindness. :D I see that the anti-Tunney fiction still pops up. Thought that was put to rest.

i cant see gene tunney dodging any type of brawler after facing and beating greb and dempsey to name just two of the meanest, and he was going to beat a jabber and mover every day of the week. tunney's record - almost alone among fighters - tells the real story in detail.

How about Johnny Persol?

I always thought he could have been light-heavy champ somewhere along the line.

Teofilo coundn't even deal with Igor Vysotsky in two tries. Many of the pro's at that time would've dealt him the death blow.
