I dont know what rules are in place regarding making gloves but I THINK that Reyes gloves have the weight distributed more around the whole glove instead of concentrating on the knuckle area. That may be total nonsense but thats how the gloves feel which may be why they are regarded as punchers gloves.

Grant seem to be dominating the market at the moment but my guess would be that its more to do with how customisable they are. Fighters chose various colours and writing etc whilst Reyes seem to be more old school, yes they provide different colours but nowhere near to the same extent as Grant.

For me, Reyes are still the daddys.

I have Reyes 16 oz for sparring but I don't like them, they are massive and far too roomy. As someone before has said, they also go half way up your wrist!

Geezers, tried all sorts of different brands these are 100% the best IMO

In my experience some lesser known brands offer good value for money. 3x sports gloves are a nice fit as are MAR international although they don't last more than 6 months. Everlast are always good.

Steve wal on Facebook has made a brand called p4p that all the British pros are using. It's basically the winning design

Go with something that gives your hands and wrists as much protection as possible. People selecting sparring gloves because they are known as 'puncher's gloves' are dumb IMO. You can't punch a lick with arthritic hands. I'd suggest going for the biggest, well-made pillows you can find and then when you actually fought the psychological boost of those little gloves feeling like nothing is worth an extra few percent.

Rival....amazing glove for £140.

They fit my fists like no other glove has done and the support is excellent. My 16oz gloves feel like 10.

Make a cracking noise when they strike the pads. Love them
