I prefer the old one easier to understand for a simple lad like me it's confusing :DD

Dont bother me to much.

But if given a choice, i'd plump with the old template.

Reason being, is that the topic board is quite tightly packed and it confuses my eyes a bit.

I've used this theme before as it's the phpBB default. It's poorly designed, imo. It's not easy to read through the posts, and they should not be so far to the left. The topic listing is insane. Way too busy and just looks like a bunch of lines.

Hopefully John will use a different theme.

The reason most people will probably not like the change is because they are not familiar with the new layout, it will take a bit of time. I'm the same!

I logged in about five minutes ago, & I thought "Oh no, why has the site been changed?" However, I would say the new layout looks good. On the face of it, there has not been major changes made. The same options are still available, if they are placed differently, etc.

You have to new layout a bit of time before shotting it down in flames.

Its actually quite painful on the eyes and head to read - which i think is caused by the pale background colours.

Bring back the old style forum

100% negative feedback. I hope the forum doesn't lose some valuable posters as a result of this move.

I think,m from a simple usability point of view, it;s harder to read, the threads are all closer together, just looks like a big nasty long list. Within each individual thread again, the distinction between people's posts is less obvious, makes hreads harder to read, less easy to see who has posted etc. Don;t like it at all, bring back the old, it was fine and functioned well.

x2. Couldn't have said it any better.

You know, there is a lot of wisdom in the old, homespun sayings and philosophies. As they say in the States: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

This is starting to look less like a temporary software thing and more like a new look forum. Say it ain't so, someone?
