Cotto is better and/or more proven at the time of fighting than any of the losers in that list. From your list none of the winners were smaller men coming up.

all of the above were fine performances but not agianst the calibre of opposition that Cotto is/was imo.

Hopkins vs Tarver was (sorry for being pedantic) - I agree with your point though. I cannot believe Pac is still getting the criticisms and not being called a legitimate Welterweight champion.
