for me there is a big difference between what castle did and financial crime like armed robbery. castle picked on a little lass, he a fukin boxer for christs sake, what chance did she have?
so long as noboy gets hurt and the so called victims are banks and other financial institutions that rob from us daily, i have no problem with armed robbery...we got fukin robbed from everyday by the government in terms of taxes, and its those fukers who should be up on trial....people like castle and others who commit gratuitous assaults against the public should not be allowed to box pro again

So what about the people who have nightmares about having a blade or a firearm stuck in their face during an armed robbery? You don't have to physically harm somebody to mess their life up, mental scars are often far worse than any physical ones.

I would love for you to have a wife or a daughter who worked in a bank who has been scared to death by an armed robbery and suffer years of nightmares etc. and see if you still have the same opinion then.
True, violent crimes like this are "worse" but armed robbers should be locked away for a long time just the same.

Nonsense. Too many plastic gangster books and not enough real life experience, for you?
The vast majority or armed robberies are commited against ordinary Joe Bloggers going about their daily business, not financial institutions. Even when banks & building societies are targetted, they don't suffer from it. Who do you think covers their losses? Has it never crossed your mind that they simply increase their charges, lower their interest rates etc... to cover fraud and robbery losses? That's right; we pay for the robberies, plus we pay to house the criminals once they've been convicted. Additionally, their front of house staff who suffer the trauma of being nose to barrel can be left terrified for life.
mate dont get personal..I read jizz mags and the beano not plastic gangster books, so get it right eh?!, ..has it never crossed your mind...., if people didnt pass their money onto banks/building societies by getting mortgages, loans and that, they wouldn't get continually buttfucked by them when they lower interest rates, increase charges...people choose to join the ratrace, they get convinced that having all this material shit is good, by those that make out of you.. and they reap the rewards...dont buy something you cant pay for outright and you can't be screwed by them..i agree about the staff who get traumtised though, i did not think of that during my rant, but when you work for a place that handles large amounts of cash, you are aware that you could be targeted..I have a mate who works for securicor, he said he gets some form of trouble nigh on every month, but he says it doesnt bother him as he knew it was a risk he takes when he took the job on..its like being a club doorman and getting all shellshocked when you have to deal with someone kicking off..

Wow.
Very disappointing to read that Ian. I remember Armstrong well from the super featherweight game of pass the parcel that went on with the British belt at the time - I liked his style of boxing...
and then you find out he is a horrible c u n t preying on the weak and venerable.

Sorry, mate,i remember the case but was very vauge over the details so googled it and they said he did.I have rechecked and the article was from a website called I am an Englishman and appeared racist so they maybe spiced things up a bit.Nevertheless,he didnt get that amount of jail for nothing.Even leading up to The Prizefighter,he was in the tabloids admitting to stuff he had done and never been convicted of,a "stand over man" for the big firms, etc. Its fair to say,he was lucky to get his liscence back.

How does that make a difference? If she'd been his age it would still have been a disgusting crime.

Here we go again, more bollocks. Do people not get that crap sells papers....What this lad did is dreadful and sick, what Terry did was awful but he didnt touch ANY women and I repeat that this was not part of ANY charge that he had against him or what he went to prison for.
Talk about Terry's prison sentance all you like that's your right if you see it that way but get it right if you are going to do so !!!!!
Dunstan is working his ass off like every other fighter in the country, he has a BBBOFC license and is keeping his head down and waiting for his chance at the British, again like every other fighter in the coutry, a fair amount of which have criminal records I might add.
Gods sake !!!!

Former European cruiserweight champion Terry Dunstan has been jailed for eight-and-a-half years for two attacks on women. Both assaults were on staff of Slug and Lettuce pubs in central London in a bid to make them hand over keys to the bar tills, the Old Bailey was told.
