British title fights are ace, and so are the build ups. Imagine they'll both fight the good fight and shake on it afterwards.
cant wait for smith to shut dodson up, people say smith has shown no respect dodsons just as bad

I haven't read Dodson's response - but I think Smith has shown Dodson plenty of respect. Maybe Smith's fans have treated it as an easy fight - but Smith cannot speak for them, can he.

as for liam smiths comment above i meant the fan base on this site have no respect for tony dodson .like you said every boxer gets respect from another boxer and thats the way it should be but pauls fans need to wake up for a reality check .

Mate no one needs wot u say a "reality check" matey it's just there opinion just the way it's your opinion that tony will win which is fair enough your opinion and mine I mite add I agent seen any bad said about tony only peoples opinion that they think his resistance isn't there anymore

I am not surprised at all by Tony's response - I want him to win and will be cheering him on - but - I just dont see it happening - would love to be wrong - I would be on here quicker than sh*t off a shovel to goad a few people - with all that said if Smith is as good as some people say he is and is beyond domestic class - he simply has to win this fight and win it with a lot in hand - the pressure is all on him not Dodson.

i think it's great drama, really enjoy reading a good bit of british beef
dodson has some valid points, but i think he is convincing himself that smith fears him
dodson has called fello pro bendall a bum who cant lace his boots & still continues to boy off quigley calling him a kid with a great chin :!: the kid twatted him across the ring like a biatch.
he talked on change of opponent messed him up etc. he had two weeks, quigley 2 days & wasnt really properly prepared as he was 4 smith who i felt he beat & hurt a few times making him back up.
name an orthodox fighter that wouldnt trade in a southpaw like maggee for a lesser orthodox???
as 4 dilks sorry mate you can dream on fighting these boys as they wont be looking for you & quigley once victorious.

Some of them comments are laughable. I've never known a more deluded boxer in my life! I remember last year before the Quigley fight he was on the radio calling himself a "frightening prospect". A 29 year old with 5 losses on his record, 4 by knockout? Come on ey. And he talks of Paul losing to Steve Bendall - a boxer who couldnt lace his boots supposedly....when he lost to Varuzhan Davytan - a boxer who hadnt ever won a fight!!! Yes he did go on to beat him afterwards but how many dont think paul would beat bendall in a return? how many actually think he lost that night? Very few!!! And so what if he did ok with Froch for 2 rounds??? I reckon there are a lot of people who could do well with anyone for 2 rounds if they were gonna spew it in the 3rd from a shot that didnt hurt - staying on his knee for a 10 count!!! Some "warrior". And all this talk about the Quigley fight...at the end of the day, Dodson got stopped...end of!
![[icon_witsend.gif] :witzend:](./images/smilies/icon_witsend.gif)
And for the record...i could have made a new account and posted this....just like all these NEW ACCOUNTS seem to be appearing on here, all slating paul smith an backing tony dodson...all with the same spelling mistakes etc haha! You might fool some of the people some of the time...but not all the people all the time. BRING ON MARCH 12th

AND STILLLL....
And Tony lost all respect the minute I read that interview....probably the same for a lot of others too. No respect shown, so none deserved really.

Mate u can ave a pop at me but for wot reason I avent once said about fighting either one of these boy I ave just giving my opinion I like Paul I now Paul Along time in to be honest I would like Paul to win I ave just got a feeling that tony will win my personal opinion but on the other hand who says I won't get a shot at either man I'm not saying I am but if the oportunity arose I would be silly to knock it bk I now I'm not going to get a shot until it's my time but who mows wot the future holds

sorry carl but i was stating they would rather not face you.it's a compliment on your behalf.
maybe had you not been robbed v adamu who looked barry white & i felt well lost, you'd have a strap to bargain with.
do you honestly believe these fighters are above you???

No problem hurlock sorry thought u where having a pop
the answer to your question thow is now I think I'm good enough to get in with these boy but I'm not the sort of person to bad mouth people in order to get a fight out of it or call people out for that matter. So I'm happy to play the waiting game an see wot happens an if the opportunity arose to fight either man in Liverpool I would grab it with both hands it would be a childhood freak come true. But wot you where sayin I believe the winner will get a shot at the wbo so the dream will ave to wait

Carl I think it would be great to have you involved in these scouse match ups. To put you on the spot, if you had to choose one to fight now out of Smith, Dodson and Quigley regardless of what title was on the line and forgetting who wins the march fight, who would you choose?

Alrite neri
I would like tho fight any of the three above my reasons are me an ony quiqley are good friends an sparring partners the fight won't happen an out of the other two the reason I would like to fight Paul than tony is in my opinion Paul is the bigger name an the bigger draw for the fans so if I'm going to fight in Liverpool I would like the biggest atmosphere and I believe I could beat either man there now better or worse Han me so if it begame possabile I would love to fight the winner but with world honours on he horrizon for the winner I carnt see it

i just hate when fighters get froze out there should be honour among fello pro's i feel. i mean world title opputunitys without international or european wins is farcial, the british is well commended & very marketable especially once won outright & fighting fighters who want your scalp.
on quigley carl friend or foe once your the same weight you can take it personal or not, i think personally if you can make money with friends & the deal is nice, get it on :!:

this is going to be an amazing fight, i love a bit of rivalry.
im sitting on the fence here a little. i think paul has the skills to beat dodson, but i also think dodson will be pumped right up for this so smith cant take this fight lightly or he will be in trouble, dodson has got good power so this has got the makings to be a great fight.
the boxing scene in liverpool is buzzing again.
there are some real prospects who can go very very far
names like
the smith brothers
bellew
selkirk
pricey
and there are a few others to .

I think Team Dodson have the moral high ground here.
It seems Smigga and his pals like to highlight people like myself in posts and claim I am disrespectful but I simply do not see them showing Tony Dodson any respect whatsoever.
Maybe people in Team Smith are getting into themselves into a bit of a mess as the claims or hints of Smith being a world class boxer are going to be exposed big time - maybe Smith knows the truth and he and his fans are trying to put up as many smoke screens on here and in the media to hide the frailities that Smith has!!! - I personally do not think Dodson will expose them although I would love for that to happen.

well, that's settled then.
I expect the entrire Smith family to parade naked through Liverpool with sandwich boards stating 'Tony Dodson is the second coming of John Conteh and we all apologise for ever suggesting different' as a result of your timely intervention there, spud.
