Any unbiased eye would watch the Frazier rematch and conclude that Ali's excessive holding was so frequent that it went beyond 'smart tactics' to blatant rule-breaking.

Something to be taken up with the ref.

Yank Durham was dead by the time of the 2nd Frazier-Ali ft.

They would never have gotten away with that crap if Durham had been there.
Instead Frazier had the treacherous Eddie Futch in his corner and look at the results.

He wasn't treacherous. He may well have saved the mans life. Just how much more of a beating would you have wanted Joe to take? Let's be thankful for cornermen who care enough for their fighter to know when he's had enough. granberry, your disregard for the safety of one of your favorite fighters reveals a cruel and concerning dispassion for human suffering.

The same treacherous Eddie Futch let Arguello get beaten half to death against Pryor.

WHY?

Because Arguello was the designated 'winner' for that fight.

Arguello spoke up about his unhappiness with Futch after that fight.

By that time his sensitivity was beginning to fade.
