When Khan flies to America, it's a first class seat he's in...and then upon arrival he catches a limo or 4x4 which drops him off at his LA pad with snoop dog food and P diddums next door.
And who has he fought? absolutely no fecker.
Then he continues to dodge and weasel out of fights with contenders who are there on merit.
I bet Maidana is laughing all the way to the bank and must be getting paid off left, right and centre to step aside.

It is a crap article to be honest isn't it?
When I got to the end of it I was expecting to see it signed Disgusted from Tunbridge Wells.

As soon as he signed up Freddie Roach we knew he had started his move from warren/UK.
GBP won`t look to protect Khans chin like fWank did. I don`t see his star burning bright for too long.
I wonder if the `Roach magic touch` will be so evident now there is a question mark over manny pacman .. and presumably all who share his gym
But, I for one don`t care one little bit he has left the UK .. the UK roads will be alot safer he`s gone

Nah, get rid of all the other car drivers first then we're good.

Will Khan's opponents demand a blood test before they fight him and other Roach / Ariza trained boxers ?
"We have the blood result back sir and they are quite interesting."
"We have detected the presence of some kind of mineral.. looks like bone china ..or.. ... porcelain? "

This I completely agree with, both because it mirrors my general feelings about Amir & also it explicates what happens when normal people -- who aren't thinking in terms of PR & image & bollocks like that -- talk to a journalist.
Amir's Dad said that Amir is naïve, and the media play on that. It's tough for him, no doubt. I like Amir and I believe he's a genuinely nice guy.

A ridiculous big headed comment to make - from a paper champion boxer.
Yeah, that does him no favours. Britain's long tradition of holding back its non-white boxers such as Lewis, Bruno, Naz, Benn, Eubank...

didn't warren and khan's dad have a go at mitchell for bringing the racism subject up to a naive lad? was this the same writer?
also is this writer lumping together racists with fight fans who are critical of fighters who have for the most part picked on smaller men despite his being able to command main events? it sounds like the mysterious "they" to me. (obviously kotelnik, then maidana are ppl as big as himself). not long ago we were led to believe he would duck maidana, a fight we now believe will happen. hardly admirable or exciting, is it?
oh, i'll bet his fights are still on sky and he'll gladly take the money from the 50,000 non racist brits on the planet. maybe this is why he's sore, because he's selling so few PPVs, which would indicate that he doesn't really merit that platform YET, but that he's so greedy that this was the only way to keep him in the UK.

This is true.
The only thing you can say to be fair to him - is that he is just fortunate enough to be a young lad - who had the talent to win the Olympic Silver Medal at 17 years old - and he had the marketability to make him a commerical star.
And so he was thrown into fame and glory and money - and was a millioniare before he fought a professional fight.
He was treated like Royalty - and had a main event Saturday night ITV prime time bout - as a AMATEUR !!!!
Then he turned pro - and Reebok -were signing him up with £2m deals.
Publishers - were releasing autobiographys - when he was still a teenager - and DVDs were being released.
Fame grew - and money money money - started rolling in.
This is when he upgraded his family to a big house - and started driving expensive cars.
a mere teenager driving around in some brand new powerful £100,000 super car - a recipe for diaster.
Young teenage girls screaming his name going to his fights - paying money - (in contrast you would be hard pressed to find a teenage girl in the whole of Britain who knew who Jon Thaxton was)
All of a sudden - he goes from innocent likeable teenager - to a big headed cocky - unlikeable young man.
But to be fair to him - he was just a flashy kind of youngster - who had talent - and all of a sudden the World was at his feet.
Most people would enjoy the same kind of fortune if they could.
Fame - thats overhyped and not important really.
But if I was 18 years old - and Reebok offered me £million for simply wearing and advertising their stuff - your not going to say no are you ?
I can understasnd how people can resent his undeserved reward - but its just the nature of business - he is a cash cow who generstes interest / money.

It makes you wonder though doesn't it? Are you better off without the glittering Olympic medal and fighting in small halls developing your talent away from the eyes of the mainstream public.
You can't blame Khan for being the way he is, that's what happens when you throw millions at a teenager, you can't expect them to be sensible with it.

I don't like him , now up till now it may have had something to do with him bad mouthing and disrespecting good honest british fighters, who did'nt have the money experience and knoledge behind them, that he had and then REFUSING TOO FIGHT THEM .
It may off been the fact that he would'nt fight Prescott again and avenge his defeat , It may be the fact that i was always very very suss on the cuban he avenged which left a sour taste and a definete taste of what was too come .
It may have been the fact ,he treated his trainer with contempt , it may well off been, that he sprouts about being a world champ, and dodges anyone , who can punch .
It may well be the fact that because i don't like him, and neither do a lot off others , he wants too move , and he says were racist cos we don't like him .
Well maybee i don't like him cos by saying that, he is virtually demanding that we all become fans or were racist . Lots off reasons i don't like him , but seeing has how just about ALL off my favorite fighters are , lets say dark skinned for want of a better word I cannot see how i'm racist for not liking him.
Khan has to learn YOU EARN RESPECT NOT DEMAND IT .
Now i may well learn to like him and respect him , cos what i see for him , is GBP who are bigger and more ruthless than Warren have spotted Khan has a potential cash cow , they have lured him away with more money , thats fair enough i can't blame him for that . but if he fights Pauly or the argy it don't matter theres a good chance even Pauly will ko him anyone who can put Ndou down can ko Khan , on top off that Pauly IS QUICK AND HE CAN TAKE A PUNCH , pAULY OR THE aRGY TO KO HIM , followed by a couple off easy fights , followed by a Hatton fight .
Or if Roach has worked wonders and managed to cure chinnyness they have a big star on there hands .
Either way GBP wins and Khan makes more money , but while he's swanning rund sunny califonia telling his pop star neighbors , about the hard time he had in England i just wonder if he will remember it was the terrible racist english who supported him and made him rich before Golden boy seen the potential too make more money out of him.
Its now the begining off the end for Khans sheltered ride , because the yanks will put him in with fighters who can fight back , or they will turn on him , they don't put up with the padded shite like we do they demand good fights

I know he was very disliked in his home town of Bolton, My missis is from there so i know, when he got knocked out a hell of a lot of people were cheering in the pub, which i found bizarre, what else have they got in Bolton apart from Peter "garlic bread" Kay.
But after talking to people race wasn't the issue, they didn't like the way he drove round in his flash cars thinking he was "it" Their words not mine. So maybe it is just envy. We Brits do tend to put down winners, whilst in the states they embrace them.
If he really does think that Brits are racist though, he could be in for a big shock, America has MUCH MUCH more racists than the UK.

Kevin Mitchell is a numpty - his shambolic puff piece of Khan-Salita was cringeworthy, calling it 'the most convincing comeback in recent memory' - simply laughable.
Maybe he's disliked for seeking easy fights whilst ducking Thaxton, Murray and Romanov. For fighting turds like Salita and trying to wriggle out of a fight with Madaina. For not remtaching Prescott.
Its this constant con job that is his career but Mitchell can't see this because he wants to keeping being Amir's groupie and not ruffling Frank Warrens feathers. Is this meant to be objective journalism? These shill writers have a lot to answer for.

Lol exactly. He's done well off us crazy racists. Funny how at the start of his career he attracted millions of viewers. Did all those former followers 'turn' racist. Or maybe AMIR ran his image and popularity into the toilet?
There's a thought.

Kevin Mitchel comes across as some snotty nosed left wing Rik from the Young Ones numpty
Isn`t it some sort of coincidence that Khan sounds like Roland Rat ... and he has a side kick named Kev .. or as kev would describe himself. His `number one ratfan`
Rat on the road ratfans. ....

Do you really think Khan is shaking in fear trying to avoid Thaxton, Murray and Romanov? All three Euro class at best.
Are you the guy who said Koletnik was going to KO Khan?

But who cleans up Britian and Europe these days before getting their 'world' 'title' shot? Haye? Hatton? Calazghe? There are plenty more I can think of - you don't need to earn your shot at the gold these days if you have the right connections - we both know this.
If you don't have enough of the ol' connections - then you have to clean up Britian and Europe - Junior Witter comes to mind.
Don't criticize one fighter for not going the scenic route when so many others didn't bother taking that route.

Im not criticising anyone! You said "do you think he was scared" - as a matter of fact I dont think Amir himself was, but I do think his promotional team kept him away form fights with Thaxton, Murray and Romanov at the perspective times to name but three. Without doubt they did and very few could disagree.
Im not asking he stay in the UK and fight everyone available, but at the time he was moving up through the ranks there were serious tough challenges in the form of Thaxton (at the time), Murray and on the European scene Romanov. It wouldnt be as bad but Amir himself was making comments about being the best lightweight in britain by a mile, his PR people were releasing articles about him being the best,a nd yet his match makers were undeniably making fights with blown up sfw's.

Well, I am sure his promotional team would have enough about themselves to see that Murray, Thaxton and Romanov bring nothing to the table whatsoever - now, that would make more sense on why Khan didn't fight them (and if he did - he would have started as an overwhelming favourite) Would anyone put their yearly income on Murray beating Khan - I know I wouldn't, even if I was paid in Bulgarian lev!

Bring nothing to the table compared to Limmond, Gomez, Lawton? How about a british title (thaxton) and the young boxer of the year facing the person who handed him the batton.
Also, at this juncture no I wouldnt bet my mortgage on Murray beating Khan, but are you saying 2 years ago, around the time he was being dropped by Gomez, it wouldnt have been interesting?

Every fighter coming up has learning fights against guys who pose less of a risk, thats just being smart. I certainly don't think
the three you mentioned were being 'avoided' though - I am sure if Khan had to and for whatever reason - he would have dispatched all three with aplomb.
Yes, the Murray fight would have been interesting, Murray isn't a bad fighter but nowhere near Khan's league - then or today.

Every fighter coming up does indeed have learning fights agianst guys with lower risk, but were talking british title level here, not first ten fights.
As for the ease in which Khan would win, dont forget the timescales here. this is before roach ensured Amir used his footwork to avoid getting hit, this is when Amir stayed in range and was dropped by Limmon Gomez and that french guy (forget his name).
Khan didnt dispatch Limmond "with aplomb" , and Thaxton is a much harder hitter than Limmond and has been a better box fighter since day 1. Neither did he really do so with Gomez, who some could argue was at the time a very poor mans John Murray. Aggressive come forward fightyer, but Gomez lacked punch output in that fight.
At the time were talking here, 2 ish years ago, I think they were good match ups between the aforementioned guys and an amir Khan that was far less a fighter to the one we have now.
