In my opinion any man who goes into the ring and takes it seriously as Ken Norton did demands respect.

A really recent interview with Ken Norton can be seen in the DVD FACING ALI.
It also features recent interviews with George Chuvalo,Henry Cooper,Ernie Terrell,Joe Frazier,George Foreman,Ron Lyle,Earnie Shavers,
Leon Spinks and Larry Holmes.
Due to the lighting and video photography they all look as old as dirt.Foreman comes across as the best sound in shape and mind and body.
The directer has them all shadow box in front of the camera, which I felt was a little patronizing like some sterotype.

Ken Norton most certainly is not a bum...
(and the poll results will tell you that)

I have seen people put Norton in their top 20 Heavyweights of all time. :TU:

Personally, I would put him in my top 30. :TU:

And he beat Ali. :box:

I've heard that Norton's condition has worsened in recent years, which is extremely sad. I remember reading in an interview years ago that he was confident he'd be back running again but it seems that hasn't come to pass. Just real twists of cruel fate that such remarkable athletes such as Ali and Norton would end up incapacitated specimens . . . life is a real bitch.
