Murray would have won. It was stopped (and went to the cards) due to a grotesque swelling on Mendoza's forehead.

i was ringside that night, murray was in a hell of a tear up to be honest, the fight was very very close and i though murray was going to get stopped as he was badly buzzed just before the stoppage.

If warren has katsidisw or world title fight lined up in the summer then a tune up fight is understandable for mitchell I just wasnt aware of mitchells future plans.

Mitchell needs the rounds. He lost a year of his career to a bad hand injury, needed two fight to get up to speed for Prescott and is at a new weight with a new trainer. Considering he had his biggest win in December, it's good to see him back in the ring two months later getting some momentum, rather than sitting around waiting for Katsidis.
It's not like he's facing Billy Smith or Peter Buckley.

I agree he does need rounds, but sky should not show this over Williams v Chisora and Cleverly fight imo.

Agreed. Cleverly should be top of the bill

Warren needs to get sky to start at 9pm or 8pm there no premiership that weekend.

When Mendoza has competition in front of him he rises to the occasion like Mitchell does, it will be more of an exciting fight than most think

Your obviously a mate of Mitchell Des1. As a fan I would rather see the two title fights live. As the bill is going out on Saturday night I hoped for better. This bill has changed a lot since first advertised.

let's say mendoza was coming on well, looking good late. wouldn't anyone be coming on well, when his opponent has a grotesque and painful swelling on his head, an injury that prevented him from being able to fight on...
