Come September it will be 6 years since Kali broke Brewster's jaw and still got jobbed by the judges.

Even Brewster's father thought Kali won.

he must have trouble sleeping sometimes at the thought of ruiz getting title shot after title shot, and valuev being chicken to fight him for 2 years ffs, and choosing holyfield instead. lucky kali's extended family aren't extremists lol. i dare say a few cars would have blown up on ignition.

it goes to show that no matter how inexperienced u r it is not a good idea to pass up a title shot as u may never get another chance, no matter where u r ranked. can u imagine what the guys ranked 10-15 in the wba must be thinking of their chances on eventually getting a title shot. not likely.

yeah u can't be into boxing too much then. or r just having a dig at meehan.

the thing about that fight was that it was probably the best punch williams has ever thrown. a lesson for all fighters to be on guard literally from the opening bell.

May 22nd its on and it'll be interesting. It seems to me that this would be a (as they say in wrestling) 'retirement match', it'll but one that fans and boxers worldwide would be watching with interest.

Is Meehan better or worse for the lay off? Has Ruslan improved from his loss to Wlad? Is Chageav a bit of a 'deep end' opponent for the returning Meehan?...

On May 22nd can Meehan make Australia jump?

although meehan is no spring chicken which isn't a good thing going into the fight of course, at least he has had ample time to get ready for this fight.

i wonder how much meehan's camp will take from the chagaev vs wlad fight? i haven't seen it maybe someone else here can comment on that.

Meehan's best hope really is that Chagaev is damaged goods coming off the Klitschko beating. Otherwise, on paper, it does look a big ask for your guy.

But saying that, I will be rooting for Kali. I'd say he doesn't deserve his ranking at present, but fair enough if he can beat Chagaev - and importantly, he makes for a much more interesting challenger to Haye than Chagaev would.

Meehan being more of challenge to Haye then Chagaev?...yep I think so too but I'm not saying Meehan automatically is better then Chagaev, its a styles thing.

It would have been good to see Meehan take on a fairly decent opponent before this fight. One who can take him through 12 rounds im sure he gets plenty of high intensity sparring but sparring is sparring and fight's are just that. Kali's camp probably thought of this ages ago but couldnt find anyone to fight Kali.

Im going for Kali but Chageav is still a force in HW boxing.
