would of had to have been a different date as star wars in concert is on the same date at the O2

I disagree.They are showing the full arena,but no tickets whatsoever in one half?

There is virtually no difference in availability today as compared to yesterday, which makes me believe they are just selling a few areas and will open up more blocks if or when they sell areas out.

They are offering the whole arena floor seats for sale, and the ring is central.

Also, block 114 costs more than 115. Block 115 is the central block, and so have the best view if the ring is in the centre of the arena. Higher price = better view.

If they were only using half the arena, then the ring is moved towards the raised seats that have been sold (ie its in the centre of the half-arena) and block 115 would be a better view (and so more expensive) .

Also, if they are only using half the arena, they wouldn't use the whole floor.

When half arenas are used, they usually cut off half the whole arena with a massive curtain, including the floor seats.

I know what your saying, but given the default tickets were on the right hand side of the map as you look, does it make sense for all the tiered seats on the left to be sold out already??? Also, wouldn't it mean about 15-16k sold already??

Not true. They could block off one end. there was also one Warren show where they shut the upstairs and everyone with a ticket there had it reallocated to downstairs.
There would also still be the same 4-side arrangement around the ring. It is often the case that if they sell out, they can add more floor seats to the back of each block.

They can block off an end without moving the ring. They just don't sell the tickets there.

Anyway, I hope they do sell it out. I want to Haye to be a big attraction and it to be a memorable evening. Although I hope there is a decent undercard. It would be good if he could do a tie-up with Maloney and get Moore, Price and Dallas on the bill, plus the other ex Hayemaker fighters like Watson.

He got nowhere near them figures at the O2 for barret, christ they were virtually giving tickets away towards the end. Granted he's now slain the giant, but did that performance really make anyone who hasnt seen Haye before think "I must go to that" ? UFC is here once a blue moon and I'd imagine people from all over the UK, if not europe came to manchester that night I know when they were in Dublin / Germany a group of lads form our local MMA gym went.

Very true mate, but look at fights like Hatton Maussa - that struggled to sell out, hell, spud was (fair doos to him) doing competitions on boxingtalk message boards for tickets. And that was Hattons first fight post Tszyu. I think any fighter that attracts 20,000 paying punters will do really well at the moment.

Same day as UTD chelsea isnt it? Should be a fun day for GMP

Me! I'm taking the missus. I paid for £75 tickets virtually as they went on sale. It was hard work to get a nearish hotel too

i think it was a wise move to fight in Manchester as it is a fight city with fights fans that will like to see Haye who is now quite big in the public's eye and bigger enough star to get good press national / local. i think they would be happy with 15,000 and 150,000 ppv buys and i feel it will be around that mark

Yeah Manchester is a big fighting city.. then you have Liverpool a stone's throw a way and Leeds/Sheffield over the Pennines. Perfect location!

The combined population of Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield and Leeds is much less than the population of London. Plus it is very likely that Hatton's comeback fight will go on sale before April 3, so could badly hit late sales. They would have definitely done this in London if they could have got a date.

Is the whole arena being used ?as someone pointed out on seatwave not all was available.

London may be a fight city,but they dont seem to follow their own.Despite the drop-outs,Mitchell,Chisora and Degale should be able to fill a Wembley half-arena.Also,Nicky Cook fighting at the O2 for the world title was less than half full,and most of them were there to see Khan.Haye flopped in the capital just over a year ago,and how many times is the York Hall actually sold out?And it holds about 1200.Haye-Macca was the only well attended show i can think of recently
