yeh i have a feeling groves will keep pushing for the fight but chunky and warren will not take the fight. difference is tho i feel groves will be more successful then degale so it won't be quite the same as the witter and hatton build updiggler wrote:its gonna turn out like witter v hatton, but i hope they do fight

degale too big headed for my liking. I will root for Groves if and when the time comes.
Re: Degale ill Ko Groves...........
Its ludicrous to say `build the fight up` at this stage of their career
If they were both champions of some sort. One a world title holder and the other something like a european champ, but little known ... then fair enough to building the fight.
But when they are new pro`s ... having had to beat very little opposition because they are at the stage where the guys behind them are padding the record ... then whats to build? only hype and optimism
I think it would be better for them to face now, early set backs are easier to come back from.
But British boxing is too far down the road of over-hyping their `prospects`

Yes- it would be a brilliant fight, good fun to look forward to, a real battle where both have a lot to lose, and equally the win would be genuinly meaningful, as it was a genuine 50-50 fight. The tension leading up to it would be massive- rarely felt nowadays- that feeling before hand that something serious is going down.tonyevs wrote:I think it would be better for them to face now, `
All these reasons are why it won't happen!!!
Re: Degale ill Ko Groves...........
sad thing is - they will only get matched when one has shown signs that he ain`t going to be what they 1st thought.
Then his promoter will want to cash in - and the rival will only then feel it safe enough ... British boxing at its best
Do this kind of thing early I say. When the chinks in the armour aren`t so evident - and a loss is easier to come back from.

DeGale is a great boxer but Groves is something special IMO

That sounds about right- a "make or break" fight.tonyevs wrote:sad thing is - they will only get matched when one has shown signs that he ain`t going to be what they 1st thought.

I dont like DeGale. Groves seems to have adapted better to the pro's than DeGale. At this stage in their careers I would go with Groves UD (if it's over 6-8) 10 rounds I think Groves could force a stoppage
