MAte I couldn't agree more don't think for one second I thought anything else mate all I was trying to get across was I've had my chin tested all I was stating that he hasn't really that's all believe me I ave said myself he's a class act but like u said it will be a battle for the both of us :TU:

Out of interest did you face him, or any of the other "well publicised" switchover lads when you were amateur. Sutherland, de gale etc ...
No mate I didn't box any of the above as an amature to be honest I Never done anything as an amature apart from win the novice under 20s that's about it but after that my weight went up an down such to the point where I boxed at heavy while I was on the army boxing team

I'm shocked if this match is actually signed and sealed and happens :o

This is exciting matchmaking and says a lot about Groves (and Dilks too).

:TU: all round!

'Nuff said mate! :TU: Should be a great fight and I don't see a problem with this fight so early in Groves career - thats one thing wrong with boxing today - its more a business where fighters try to keep their "0" rather than take 50/50 fights to help their development. No big deal if Groves loses a close fight - an early loss can actually benefit a fighter. And if he wins, what a great win for a relative novice.

I would like to know what Smigga makes of groves going into a british title eliminator fight, bearing in mind how long Smigga had to wait for his opportunity, and if it is wise for groves to be mixing at this level right now.
There is more of a case for Dilks too, but would either of these guys, right now stand much chance if they got into the ring with a smith/dodson/quigley?

The winner would be competitive with the names you've mentioned, even if they might not win. :TU:

I personally have no doubt that they would be competitive, as both are reasonably talented boxers. However we know much less about groves as a pro, than we do about dilks. Groves didn't look great against his last opponent, although i am not going to run him down for that, as who looks the dogs every time out?
Dilks was unlucky in his commonwealth shot, but neither is seasoned.
I point to Don Broadhurst fighting for a british title after 11 pro fights, it did him no good at all. Being commonwealth champ and fighting your guys from africa who are unknown entities, but generally crap did not prepare him, and i don't see what prepaeration either fighter (dilks or groves) has had to warrant this step up

Probably, it would be a good little fight to have on the PPV
