Yes I agree. My trainer has said that if I commit like I've said I will he'd want me to box at light-heavyweight for him (90kgs) I'm currently weighing about 100kgs.
If i'm anywhere near 90kgs leading up to the fight i'd be too small to fight this fella.
My trainer has also said once I have a WC fight i'd have no chance of a late am career so I suppose the plan is get in shape and make a decision in about 10 weeks.

You'd be surpised at the amount of Amatuer lads who fight on WC/unlicensed shows, with a headguard and stage name who would know? I don't think one WC bout will stop you getting your Amatuer licence but if I'm being honest I would recommend going Amatuer over unlicenced. Best of luck anyway whatever you decide

Is it a basic, unlicenced bout? Nothing wrong with that style, of course, but just be trained and prepared for what it entails.
Some white collar events might request vest, headguards or both- some might not even score a winner in the fight, instead raising BOTH fighters hands at the end.
but that said, i'd guess it's a pro style fight.
The show is featuring 8 pro bouts and 4 white collar bouts.
3x2min rounds.
Headguards and vests.
Licensed by the EBF.
these are shite shows mate if you want to do this stuff contact the IBA alan mortlock runs them they are much better mate and you have full medical staff on hand

my advice is to carry on drinking!! F*ck the runs off.. And when you get in the ring just dive on the floor as soon as he hits you with a jab and take the pay

that stinks of biased talk , it depends which ebf hes talkin about . if hes meaning the english boxing federation i agree there just there for themselves despite their rep but the other ebf in the northern half of the cuntry is the european boxing federation , there shows are much better , take a trip to victoria leisure center in nottingham 2 weeks on saturday and youll see for yourself , they do damn good shows , better than a lot of pros , and bare in mind i promote white collar myself and in a way you could consider either ebf a rival i see no reason in not telling the truth . IBA dont really stray too much into my area so not really prominant but even the wcbc are sarting to grow a lot better lately.

The EBF i'm reffering to is the european one.
The event has 8 pro bout and 4 WC to my knowledge. The event is headlined by Tim Witherspoon.
Anyway after a couple of road runs and a couple of light weights sessions I started in the boxing gym tonight..
We did 5 mins skipping, 5 rounds on the bags and 7 on the pads (2 padding) and an army style circuit (press ups, sit ups, med ball, dips, etc)
My trainer recorded my pad work and showed me where I was going wrong.
He also said when/if I fight for him he would want me (due to my height) get down to 91kilo and box at light heavyweight. I think thats 14st3lbs.
I will have to decide soon as I dont want to get down to like 15 stone then be getting in there with a taller, more experienced 18stoner lol.

yeah they do some good shows , been talking to tim about fighting on one of my shows later this year too .
there weight divisions are different to the rest the light heavy you refer to is cruiser in most but they have super heavyweight too so dont think youd be in with an 18 stone guy as hed be a super heavy , super heavy champ for ebf is daz davies who headlines the nottingham show i just mentioned above vs erik the viking .
wheres the show your on ?
there not pro fights on there though , dont be fooled by that , its all white collar , pros arent allowed to fight on those shows , theyd lose their license .
