Yes, you're probably right, but he is a bombastic and charismatic individual anyway, so it's not much of a stretch for him to exagerrate that a bit. But for boxers who are more taciturn or shy, it would be a stretch to expect them to trash talk or adopt a "character" for the purpose of hyping a fight.

Yeah with Valuev they found a good marketable angle and ran with it. Haye's repeated slagging off and jibing and Valuev helped sell it. I don't think he'll do as big a numbers for Ruiz because there isn't an angle there.


I'm not sure I think I'd just tune in to see Norman stone Ruiz trainer (If he still is!!) he is a character bit of a stress head thou but could see Haye getting him annoyed ha ha!! Must watch if never seen it before
