My dear Mum passed away from bowel cancer 6 years ago.
I'm not writing that to be morbid or sad, its been something very important to me since and it is my main charitable concern. The mortatility rate has halved since then and it is one of those classic cancers that the earlier nabbed, the easier to treat.
Never met Chris but met his son Jamie a couple of times, and liked him so of course, my thoughts are with the family.

ONCE INTERVIEWED HIM FOR THE BBN,...was going to speak to scott dann but chris was so engaging and thoughtful that half the peice ended up about him, spoke with jamie as well.

Thanks for all your comments. I have shown them to Dad and he has been overwhelmed by the support shown by the boxing community.
He has recovered well from treatment and the doctors are positive with the results, so things are looking promising.

Thanks for mesages guys. The other day Lee Haskins said he must be getting better as he is starting to shout again! Check out this funny clip I have put on our site, it was a Calzaghe Promotions show in Merthyr Tydfill last year. Dad barges Calzaghe and Maccrinelli out the way. Joes face is a picture.....
