Saw the title of the thread - sorry guys to be controversial  - I find it hard to give any sympathy!!!

I work on the "sub prime financial market" and see plenty of people in the sh*t and plenty of people without a pot to p*ss in - many of those people find the discipline from somewhere to stay away from drugs!!!

Agree with Spud! (WOW, although I've read your views on this in the past so I knew I was going to agree) and Wrists I must say. Can see what Ian is saying........ but call me old fashioned but there is being daft and there is breaking the law.

Of course I was brought up in a loving family from a rural / naive background - but I was taught from day dot that Drugs were bad..... of course there would be some situations in which I would have SOME sympathy..... like if it was major family issues and you need to make a quick buck fast to help your family - but even so, there are OTHER ways, other legal ways.

Got to disagree pal - I work in some of the most deprived areas of the North East - Like in many other places, there is no prospect of work - but its refreshing to see many lads and lasses not resorting to drugs etc etc - top people - although do have to say one skinny young man had quite a shock when he threatened to hijack my car - bless his cotton socks!!! :TU:

When talking about drugs here, are you including cannabis as well as the class a's?

i had some of the wifes relatives come down today from lancashire.

We live in hackney in london, considered to be one of the most deprived areas in the country, but when school kids brag about having done drugs it is always, "i smoked some weed today"

the relatives have a nine year old son, he came out with, "i injected heroin the other day".

It's scary up norff

immediate response is good on the Police to be honest for busting the little cnt if he's done it. I don't really see any good reason to hide that opinion.

I've known jack and his family personally for many years, he's a brilliant lad- very determined to succeed and has all the talent in the world. Great chin, good dig- nice boxing skills. I doubt very much that he is involved in the drug scene. Blackpool has a horrendous problem with drugs. I think this will very much turn out to be a case of misconstrued evidence.

no offence intended mate but ive dealt with many a dealer in the past and even considered having a go dealing myself at one time , ive never known anyone to get to court for drug offences that arent guilty , ive seen many a reversal where people who everyone knows are dealers getting away with it , but id be very surprised to hear it was untrue , even if found not guilty , like i said , dont mean any offence to you seeing as you know him , but just my view

Getting caught redhanded is usually a fairly decent guage of whether somebody is guilty or not. I actually expect him to plead guilty in the hope he will avoid a custodial sentence and if I was his lawyer, that is what I would advise him to do.
Even with a guilty plea,a conspiracy charge involving Class As and Bs is a definate custodial sentence.2-3 years will be a good result. He's lucky it didnt happen last year or he would surely have got a mention in "The Fixer",in the Blackpool chapters under some dodgy similar sounding name :TU:

It's the dreaded word 'conspiracy' which tends to do for you, so I'm led to believe.

Correct.Possesion with intent to supply is a lesser charge than Conspiracy.3K's worth of Brown though, and the guy mentioned above should be doing time.I bet his "associates" are asking questions.

I knew sweet FA about life when I was 20 and the intervening 13 years have probably done little to change that but I never got involved with drugs or dealing because I simply didn't have the bottle to take the risks involved. I imagine though for someone who does, the danger/percieved street cred and not least of all, fiscal reward, might prove very tempting to someone of a thrill seeking disposition.

It is however a vile trade and maybe it would help Arnfield to observe the status of some of it's worst victims.

Here's one of the worst victims, a 17 year old lad who came from a caring family and had a Dad who worried about him but didn't know how to cope with him. The lad had special needs, aspergers ADHD type stuff mildly autistic. He got mixed up with the wrong crowd who introduced him to heroin. He suffered from depression and ended up leaving home even though his Dad tried to keep him there. So the lad ends up roughing it stopping on couches when he and park benches we he couldn't. Then one day my team get a call because the regular bobbies need someone with a ladder, we go to a park and the lad is hanging from a climbing frame by washing line, He is still warm been up there only a couple of hours. I had to hold him in a bear hug while my mate goes up the ladder and cuts him down. He was lighter than my 14year old lad because of the malnutrition. The even sadder thing is that crime scenes reckon he didn't mean to do it and it should just have been a cry for help. Don't know how they knew that but that's what they said. That was one of the worst working days. :(

As some of said, if this is 110% true, no sympathy at all. He took the easy way out, and thus is paying the price for it.
