that's because he barely connected all night! I think as long as Khan uses his speed and ringcraft he can avoid having his chin checked even if it is vulnerable. Jones Jr was rumoured to have a dodgy chin throughout his career but it was only when his speed and reflexes went that opponents could actually test that theory!
while Khan is clearly no Jones Jr, it's perfectly plausible that he can navigate potentially choppy waters against the likes of Maidana simply by using his hadspeed and not engaging in a tear-up.

How anybody can say Khans chin is decent

For all the hype and praise people have given Roach for Khans return since being demolished by Prescott - the truth is that alot more should be credited to Warren. Khan has not been dropped since the Prescott fight, thats because he has protected that fragile chin of his - but the warning signs were on show in his last fight that he is getting his confidence back and reverting back to his old style ... there will be another knockdown atleast very soon :TU:

Whilst its a desgrace that Khan isn`t fighting the guy who deserves the title shot, I still wouldn`t be surprised if Mallignagi dropped or even stopped Khan ... Khans chin is really that bad.

Kotelnik hitting air and gloves all night does not mean Khan has a decent chin.

He should be fighting maidana and khan has got a clearer route to the big time BUT he is a special talent and i'd rather see him in a position where he will be established enough to make a meaningful comeback if he gets sparked.

If he fights maidana now and gets beaten then his shot at the big time will be over, if he builds his recognition in america first he will always have an open door into the world scene.

He's a fighter that will get beaten (by KO only) through out his career on possibly a couple of occasions but he is also a fighter that has the potential to beat any fighter, i honestly think he would give PBF a serious fight even now.

My prediction - a ones sided dismantling of Malignaggi then on to a decent match up with bradley - then the one we want - maidana if maidana builds his status.
