Matthews is considering Stepping down as WBU Champion, He wants his friend and Training partner to fight for the Title.
Yet does not want to fight him for it.

As Sam Langford is Ranked number 15 would he be in a fight for the belt??

Matthews needs an answer from the Commission. Before making any fianl decision

I think what Ben is trying to say, is Can Matthews step down, and Langford Vye for the title? In which Case Conn would like to fight for that belt in place of Matthews......You see ben...you can run, and you can swap fighters, but you can't hide!

However the right and true thing to do is not allow Ben to pull such an easy presto chango. Langford should be passed by, due to a "conflict of interest". As it conflicts with Billy Conn's interest in the WBU belt, and leaves that draw with Matthews untended. Besides the Langford fight is a more difficult fight for Conn, and that is just plain wrong.

If Matthews vacates, then it would be at my discretion to nominate two fighters to fight for the belt. The chance of me nominating Langford are slim, just to avoid any shenanigans.

If Matthews vactes the WBU title, Carl Froch would humbly ask to be considered for title contention for the title.

For a few various reasons...
1. Froch is a new fighter.
2. He does not get involved in the preverbial mud-slinging which tends to go on here.
3. He has never been given a title shot.

He udnerstands of course, if he is not considered.
